Short but funky 8)

Bruno really went in with this one. Each song is paying homage to a different style of r&b/funk. 24K Magic is clearly P-Funk oriented, Chunky sounds like some vintage 80's Funk (it does sound like some Tuxedo as well), Perm sounds like a James Brown song. Other songs have a Michael Jackson or Freddie Jackson feel. Really lovin' the chord progression.

My favorite song is definitely Finesse, a New Jack Swing anthem. Bruno really emulated, captured and duplicated the quintessential New Jack sound. It mainly draws its inspiration from Guy's Teddy's Jam, but you can hear instruments and elements from such songs as Bobby Brown's I'll Be Good To You, Christopher Williams' I'm Dreaming, and plenty others. What do you think Petey ? I know you're a New Jack afficionado, too 8)

appreciated the album.

it's just surfacing that they ripped off my homie (Tryezz) synth style (the lead chords in 24k magic) and even part of one of his remixes, uncredited. there might be a lawsuit brewing.
