Do you?
Or do they simply serve to entertain you?

No, they are inanimate objects to me.

You ask this same question at least once every two months.....Which is pretty counterproductive considering the people who post here are the same 20-25 users over the last 2 years.

So what?
You all post the same songs that have been in rotation for the last 20 years.
Im not complaining bout classics so why are you?

And I genuinely want to know if you value these artists as human beings or are quite happy just merely being entertained.

Are you confusing the artists with the posters on your wall?

Is that self deprication or a wild stab in the dark corners of the web?
And you could answer me on twitter next time I tag you in the midst of psychosis.
I am genuinely remorseful about that anti semitic barb.

Mostly this. Matter of fact, when I take a good look at the person they are I usually come to the conclusion I don't have much in common with the artist and that I disagree with a lot of his behavior or views.

How is this for an answer. Depends on the artist's work.

If an artist gets personal, then I see them as a human. I cried when 'Pac died because I could relate to him. I understood his struggle, he make music to connect to me, which I see him as a person.

If your work is more superficial, then I see you as another track in my playlist. I don't relate much to Lil' Wayne. I like his tracks when I'm working out, but I just don't connect.

No...I honestly don't care about them.  Most of them are playing characters.

the ones that actually rap about real life and you can tell their stories are first hand experiences

and any that I've met in person that have been real and down to earth I'll always listen to with a new greater respect

I didn't even see this when I posted... pretty much what I was trying to say, spot on

the only artists I shed some tears for when they passed were Pimp C and Nate Dogg, when 3-2 just recently passed that also hit kinda hard
