yeah its on the list :)

you end up here.. i'm not sure if dubcnn uses a CMS or not these days, i'll have a quick poke on the ftp :)

i'm not sure if i have a login, or one with permission for the dubcnn CMS.. i'll look into it :)

(i think i can hack the dub database to give myself access :D:D but i'm at work, so can't do it now..)

edit: i found the reference in the dubcnn database and hacked it direct.. works now.. who needs a user login eh? :)

btw also need to update the vault index on dubcnn which isn't part of  the CMS

looks like not all links to posts within the forum got updated...

example: http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=326772.0

(any link to a post on dubcc in a post should have been updated.. things like the vault index were updated)

ran my special update script on the server.. again, looked like it timed out locally when i did it before upping the database. all URLs updated :)

The forum needs work. If it was up to me, there would only be one West Coast section instead of two.

Great update, the forum is more fast and stable.

But what about The Vault index? It's been down for a long time and now the thread is blocked. What's the reason?

Thanks. Keep up the good work. ;)

i halfway agree, considering we don't have enough activity for this .. but let's see how it pans out first

we decided this is a post a couple years ago (i kept links / made notes)

problem is. we had a problem where

1) people moaned about people being stuck in the past flooding the forum and 'new' posts/artists not getting their shine
2) people stuck in the past, being stuck in the past.

1. those people can't moan anymore
2. those people have a valid place to wallow in the past :)

i think these benefits outweigh the inactivity side of it. if "west coast classics" is busier it does mean "new" posts dont sink in the "west coast connection" section

Great update, the forum is more fast and stable.

yeah the thread was so big it wouldnt load with the old server/scripts.

i havent touched it, i believe Jome maintains the index, possibly also keeping it in sync with an html page on the dubcnn site.

We've been getting a lot of what appears to be russian spam bots.   Although they rarely make it through to the forum thanks to Sccit (and me a bit).

I read up and I've enabled a question they have to answer (what is snoops first album). This already appears to be already be working. It won't stop manual spammers but is supposed to stop the automated sort..

Its possible that whoever is controlling the ones that had been getting trying to register notices and adds the obvious (to us) answer.. so if that happens I can change or add more questions but right now, it seems to be working great

my BAD.. NIK accidentally banned a whole bunch of people because i didn't warn anyone that the cloudflare type protection on dubcnn gives people mostly the same ip's.

i'm looking into how to restore original user IPs

?

its still there on a front page? or you mean something else?

but just fixed an issue with adverts.. should have affected anyone, but they were putting errors in the error log and could have filled it.. it may have sped things up, but probably not
