if it sounds like Dazmatazz no thanks lol I'm tired of these rappers trying to capitalize off classic album titles, but I hope I'm wrong and this comes out dope (if it even comes out)

only dude who ever really dropped a classic sequel was Raekwon with OB4CLII, everyone else for the most part that tried to do the "Part 2" or whatever dropped something mediocre or flat out garbage (see Eminem - MMLPII)

dazamatazz was great, woulda been damn near classic if shortened to one disc

stillmatic and chronic 2001 were classic sequels as well

although considered somewhat sequels, on paper they are just "Stillmatic" and "2001"... not Illmatic Part 2/Illmatic 2001 or Chronic Part 2/Chronic 2001, meaning they weren't trying to capitalize just off name sake and they are their own respective album on their own

documentary 2 and 2.5 was games best work in years

vol 2 some of jay-z best work

off top

I'll give you these, the rest were not hip-hop classics

If they're really gonna do this, Dr. Dre, DJ Pooh and Soopafly better be involved in this. They need to get some unreleased vocals from Nate and find out where Mr. Malik is and get him on this too. I wouldn't mind hearin' Tray Deee and The Lady Of Rage on this also. I can live without a Michel'le feature though.

exactly, and we know this won't happen, so they should just go with another title instead of setting up fans for letdown due to the expectation of it matching Dogg Food

STILLMATIC AND CHRONIC 2001 WERE BOTH CONSIDERED SEQUELS FAM

AND THE ALBUMS I NAMED WERENT ALL CLASSICS, BUT STILL DOPE...+ THERES A LOT MORE, THOSE WAS JUST OFF TOP

LONG STORY SHORT, THERE HAVE BEEN SEQUELS THAT DELIVERED, AS WELL AS SEQUELS THAT DISAPPOINTED...DAZ HAS MADE SOME GOOD WEST COAST MUSIC LATELY, SO I WOULDN'T BE SHOCKED EITHER WAY.

SOOPAFLY WILL DEF BE INVOLVED.....DOUBT WE SEE DRE WORKIN WIT DAZ AGAIN TBH

BUT I THINK DAZ AND SOOPAFLY COULD PRODUCE A DAMN GOOD ALBUM TOGETHER....HAVEN'T HEARD FROM DJ POOH IN A MIN, SO I DUNO HOW HE WOULD FIT IN

THERES TONS OF UNRELEASED NATE VOCALS TOO, SO MAYBE THEY CAN GET SOMETHIN ON THAT, BUT I HEAR NATE'S ESTATE IS A BITCH WHEN IT COMES TO RELEASIN NEW SHIT

I DO EXPECT HELLA DPG FEATURES THO- SOME COMBINATION OF TRAY DEEE, SNOOP, BAD AZZ, RBX, WARREN, RAGE, ROSCOE MAYBE SOME BUTCH CASSIDY, JAYO, XZIBIT, CROOKED I, GOLDIE LOC

THIS IS VERY POSSIBLE, AND IF WE GET AN ALBUM LIKE THAT, SHIT'LL BE DOPE

Prhyme 2 is not a sequel. Just the 2nd album with the title 2 imo.

LOL OF COURSE IT'S A SEQUEL...NOT ONLY IS IT CALLED "PRHYME 2", IT USES THE SAME CONCEPT AS THE FIRST ALBUM OF SAMPLING EVERY BEAT FROM ONE PERSON- THE EPITOME OF A SEQUEL.

Daz and Snoop still have "beef", so we might not see Snoop on this. I really hope they solve whatever issues they have.

Soopafly and Daz are not on speaking terms anymore. I'm guessing Daz is mad at Soopafly for still working with Snoop.

Yeah Soopafly has been tourin' with Snoop. I've seen Kurupt with Snoop too, but not Daz. They still got issues.

if it sounds like Dazmatazz no thanks lol I'm tired of these rappers trying to capitalize off classic album titles, but I hope I'm wrong and this comes out dope (if it even comes out)

I really don't care what an album is called, just because he calls it Dogg Food 2 or Revenge Retaliation and Get Back 2 or 100 Wayz 2, doesn't matter to me, I only care if the content is dope.  It's not like they try harder based on the album name.  I'd like to think these artists are trying to make dope albums regardless as to what the title is.

Dazamataz was Daz's best album since Revenge Retaliation and Get Back and RAW.

I really do hope the music is dope too but they're taking a risk with titling it a sequel to a classic album, it better not be a fluke like Eminem's MMLP2 was to it's predecessor

lol wow still going on about that? funny how you had to remind me of that, but the album was 3.5/5 at best and you dudes for whatever reason love to place it real high on a pedestal... out of 30 songs maybe about 9-10 at the most were cool and 0 were classic songs, the rest was not memorable at all and won't be talked about in the years to come but if y'all love it cool

it can't even hold a candle to On The Left Side  :P
