u have to definitely wat for MICROSOFT'S LATEST OFFERING "THE X-BOX"..it is gonna take the whole game console industry to another level.. it is gonna revolutionise console gaming...itz got a 6GB hard disk..which means no more crappy memory cards.. and has the XGPU has the graphics processor which has been developed by both Microsoft and nVidia..and has a 733 Mhz processor created by INTEL...dont go for the PS2 even though many ppl..say go for it coz they haven't seen the performance of the XBOX which out of the specs u can clearly see it outshines the PS2..

Both X Box and Gamecube will have DVD format discs. X Box will play DVD Movies like PS 2 and GameCube will sell 2 different versions, one that plays only games which will cost $199, and one that cost $100 more and plays DVD movies as well( but why would you pay more for a game console to play movies?). And Nintendo did not say they would aim their next system to kids. Infact they said the opposite cuzz they wanna get rid of their kiddy image with the CUBE.

yo thanks for all youre replys but i got several more questions

1. is it true that ps2 WILL have dreamcast games too???(cuz if they have dreamcast games availble on ps2 then i'm definetly getting ps2 )

2. will x-box and gamecube will have more and more games producing in the future like ps1 and won't stop making games like sega saturn?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(very important to know)

4. which system have the more functions and please describe them in detail (this excludes the DVD since every system would have it)

1.the ps2 will have games games that pretty much started on DC it already has crazy taxi and crazy taxi 2,it will have NBA,NFL 2k2 for sure i forgot if it was gonna have NHL2k2,but it is gonna have soul caliber 2,and some other sega games fo ri,the xbox and gamecube will have some of em 2

3.the dreamcast is already the best system and has the best games,but i think the ps2 will eventually have better games than the xbox and gamecube

4.i dunno bout many other functions other than DVD but i remember reading that the xbox will have internal memory for saving (not sure tho)
