One of the greatest albums of all time. In my Top 3. I'm about to bump this and the Instrumental version. I guess this thread should be in West Coast Classics though.

Damn. Eminem wrote "Forgot About Dre" for Dre and Snoop originally. I'm glad Dre decided that Em should be on the song though.

Yeah thatís crazy isnít it?  Can you imagine Snoop on that track in place of Em?  Also interesting how the hit lyrics were there and the beat was just sort of built around it as an afterthoughtóvintage Em

"I will make records as big or bigger than Death Row".   -Dre, Source 1996

"I didn't do nothing but make people money and I didn't leave nobody high and dry.  Any album (on death row) people are going to check for.  But it's time for Dre to worry about Dre.  I'm focused on the new Snoop Doggs, not like that but you know what I mean."

"Eminem will be bigger than Michael Jackson as long as he doesn't change."

They did that for some reason. One of those pictures is way older than '99, but it has the same date on it.

An evergreen classic that Dre probably would not have been able to outdo, had his Detox album ever actually been released.

I liked the story of Dre organising for a lowrider car to be taken to the studio for him to live record the intro to the album - I thought it was just stock audio  :D
