I think its definitly gonna be dropping in the next 3 or 4 months (hopefully sooner) and i think they are just gonna drop it, without any big announcements or promotion. One day we'll just wake and BAM! Theres Rakim, executive produced by Dre (been waiting for 11 years to see that)

I think this album is going to come out this year.  They've been really working on it for a little over a year now.  If they weren't planning on releasing the album, Rakim would've been dropped from the label already.

Yeah, that's what I think too.
Some day, just BOOM, Rakim's record standing on the CD shelves, no promotion, no interviews, no single or video played months in advance.

I think they have created one hell of a buzz within rap/hiphop-circles already, just by keeping total silence, and giving out vague hints..
I mean.. there's not a credible hiphop-head in the world that doesn't know about Rakim's Aftermath-debut..
