from what i remember mr prescription is one of his whackest joints of all time

It's different, that's for sure lol. I like it, but like I said, it's not a classic Dre beat or anything.

Honestly? Mr. Prescription sounds better than half of Compton. It's not a classic Dre track, but it's still a banger.

It's better than everything on Compton, it didn't even have 1 club song on there lol. This song is a banger. It might not be a "typical" dre beat but it's no different than something like let's get high from 2001. That's what most people don't understand about detox. Detox wasn't just a updated 2001. It had those classic dre piano type songs that he was making during the mid 2000s and it had east coast sounding shit, some rock influenced shit and experimental hip hop stuff like Mr prescription too. It's like I said before, if someone didn't like the leaks/the detox songs dre ended up giving to other artists from 06 to 11 then detox isn't for them. Not sure why people don't like dre expanding his musical abilities and trying new stuff out when all these leaks are "classic dre sound".

imagine playing this after Keep Their Heads Ringing in a stadium. a song can only be a dre banger in the context of his catalog

I feel like Mr Prescription has to be held against itself and other tracks of this kinds. When you stack it up against Chronic and 2001 it's going to sound off and different because it's not classic Dre beat, but it doesn't make it a bad track. It's fine as a single, on an album that's expected to be a follow up to Chronic and 2001? Not so much.

Yeah, Black Eyed Peas is pretty accurate description for it lol. But saying everything on Compton sounds better than that is a bit of a stretch imo. Talking to my Diary is one of those songs that do sound better, but anything else? Debatable.

If dre had chance he would erase compton compilation from his discography. There Just a few good joints. Even talking to my diary is not a classic but it shines in that tracklist. All in a days work is my favorite but its sounds like demo mix. It has more potential.

Keep their heads ringing is like 3/10 and prescription is a 8 for me. Guess we all have different ideas of what is dope by dre, no pun intended lol.

As much as Mr. Prescription is a dope beat in its own right, comparing it and saying that Keep Their Heads Ringing is 3/10 is a major stretch. It's subjective, sure, but let's not get too ridiculous.

Wow. No offense, but with that kind of opinion, I doubt most of Dre fans will take your opinion about Detox dopeness seriously......
