This randomly came into my mind just now:
Did Dre ever do a hook by himself? I can't name one track where Dre did one.

Let Me Ride - Jewel (?)
Forget About Dre - Eminem
Still Dre - Snoop,

nothing on Compton too.
I never noticed that...

(Though I might have to listen to The Chronic again.)

Hm, found this on reddit:

They're teasing it a bit. Lonesstarrmuzik collabed with Dre on that "Discombulated" joint off Eminem's new album.

(It's not a confirmation though, that guy on twitter just randomly tweeted things that could happen in 2021, if you'd ask him. He's a pal of this Lonesstar guy though.)

damn good question.

first, i remember an unreleased joint "hey you".

second is "been there done that".

does "u know" of xzibit count?

there is "zoom" song also.

He also did the hook on Gorilla Pimpin and half of Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat, now that I think about it...

I just thought it was weird, because I've got 2001 on my phone and realized that he only did some verses. When it came to the hooks, he always used other rappers/singers on them. And if he was on the hook, he only did half of them.

the best Dre collaborators were Storch, Elizondo, Batson. haven't really felt what he's been doing since he's messed with a bunch of new cats, case in point, the Compton LP - no replayability. though the Anderson .Paak stuff was more enjoyable. have a feeling this new project could be hit and miss if he doesn't bring some of these guys back or starts reviving the Detox sessions. i see they are using the Compton was just a side-project rationale when at the time it was being marketed as Dre's grand finale when clearly it wasn't. so things can only improve from Compton, musically. the problem with Dre is he was never confident enough with Detox, maybe it was for the better and he says in interviews there's something in him but he can't seem to articulate it. i have a good idea what that might be (not a rap album) but it sounds like this new thing will be the old hip-hop Dre, in a good way, before he attempts anything more ambitious or left-field. just to put rest to any doubters and bury whats left of Detox once and for all.

Imagine the back cover saying:
"Produced by Dr. Dre & Scott Storch"
Or
"Produced by Dr. Dre & Chris The Glove Taylor"

Would be dope :D
