I'm wondering ... since he announced detox ... has any song leaked that was really good? Honestly... I mean really dope song... I don't even remember... just a few songs were good or average like "topless", "kush" and tha last one "get it".

Personally, I thought nearly everything that leaked from the Detox sessions was miles better than anything from Compton.  I've really tried with Compton.  I've given it several listens, but find myself drifting off every time.  It just doesn't have that it factor that The Chronic, 2001, or the Detox era leaks had.  I'm listening to it again right now as I type this and it just sounds like Dre's attempt at low budget, Soundcloud, mumble, trap rap. It could be literally any rap album from 2015.  To me, it represents Dre following what's popular instead of innovating, like's he's always done.

Update:  5 songs in and I just can't listen to Compton any more.  It is so boring and slow and uninteresting and it goes no where.  I'm going back to my Detox leaks.

popped off was a real banger. still it is.
die hard was a fucking banger. wish we had the full version.
young world... im sure many fans are still expecting to hear it as first single of upcoming album.
naked... very good song. made to be a hit!
chillin... another club banger.
2nite... i love the beat and chorus. beat reminds me "murder murder" of eminem and "50 ways" of quik and also chorus is very similar with "you got me" of roots.
could have been you... whats wrong with that song? beautiful really.
drug test... i think this could be used for detox.
new day... definately a number 1 hit!

also you can check eminem's relapse album. most of them must be detox leftovers.

I guess everything since 2002 is a "Detox" leftover. That's when Dre started working on it.

New Day with that poppy chorus really proves that "Detox" was worked on during the wrong time. You had a 40 year old westcoast producer that tried to change the game once again, and then there's Interscope who tells you to literally appeal to little white girls. (I'm white too, but I know what I'm talking about, lol)

I mean how the fuck did Dre actually put out I Need A Doctor?

Dre's singles were weird as fuck in another way too:
He had like a 30 second verse on Kush and was only on the last verse in I Need A Doctor. That's not how you do an epic comeback after 10 years.

Something like "Who's yo Daddy?" by Bishop Lamont would've been better as the first single. Reintroduce who you are and tease the album.

They still could've put out Kush first to generate a buzz/to get the attention, now that I think about it. But you know, Eminem screaming on your second single for 2 verses in a row and Skyler Grey on the hook, was just a weird choice.

Well, Dre only had one verse "Deep Cover" and only one verse on "Lil Ghetto Boy" too for example. Nothing new about that. Dre has 8 bars on "Kush" and Snoop had 10 if I remember right.

Yup..

[Verse 1: Dr. Dre]
Now, this that puff, puff, pass shit
Cheech and Chong glass shit
Blunts to the head, kush pillows, no mattress
Speedboat traffic, bitches automatic
Cross that line, fuck around and get yo' ass kicked
We roll shit that burn slow as fuckin' molasses
Probably won't pass it, smoke it 'til the last hit
Down to the ashes, Mary J. a bad bitch
Andre, 3001, another classic
Go ahead, ask him, bitches, 'bout how I be smokin' out
Party all night, yeah, it's goin' down
Order rounds, we smoke a quarter pound of that good stuff
Oh yeah, we smokin' all night
Yeah, puff puff pass that shit right here
Nigga, better than my last batch
Caramel complexion and her ass fat
(Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale)

Slim wrote Dres verse and Krondon of Strong Arm Steady fame wrote Snoop’s. Though I like Kush I think it’s a bit generic and not fun, like Snoop is on the song and then gone, no ad-libs, background vocals or Snoop type outro to the track like ur waiting and it just bumps out ...
