Crazy backstory I'd never heard before--and ironic considering the fall out from "New York, New York" with Biggie gettin on New York radio and telling headz to get at the Dogg Pound who was in New York filming the video...

Turns out you can go on youtube and see Biggies old commercial for St Ides which was the o.g. track for the DJ Pooh beat

yeah I remember seeing it on BET, i'm surprised this is the first you are hearing of this

no I didn't hear it before and it would be nice to hear from DJ Pooh how that track came together both on the Biggie side and on the Dogg Pound side.  This is a song with a lot of great back story kind of like "California Love" has a lot of backstory... maybe I'll start a thread for best backstories for how songs came together
