Good looks. Definitely some dope songs on here after a quick skip through. The EQ on the vocals sounds really dull on a lot of the songs. I think it was intentional sound he was going for but I’m not feeling it.

that song is from 2006. his name was Jay Life that day and the song was featuring gage money and bishop lamont.

14 years later he mixed the song properly, produced a second part and let J.Sol do his own thing about black lives matter issue.

really great song. definately an Aftermath Era.

I know it's kinda off-topic but I'm looking for all of Focus...'s instrumental projects after 2010. He released 3 volumes of his "aNALOG iN a dIGITAL wORLD" beat tapes and there's also another one called "For No Reason..." + I wouldn't mind a instrumental version of his new album either :D

Been bumping Focus' old mixtapes for some months now and I gotta say I prefer the old version of "Times R Hard".
It sounds way more organic and the sample doesn't sound that disconnected from the beat. The singer on the new version is nice though.

he said he is dissapointed that people are not open minded to new sounds.

but, what was he expecting really with that comptenish rnb album?

too experimental sound for rap fans.
