Rappers never retire...

..that's just a marketing scheme. I remember when Too Short came out with "Gettin It" in 1996 and it was a real emotional track, we all thought he was retiring at age 29 they threw a big party for him and celebrated the occasion on film in the documentary Rhyme and Reason.

Wasn't but a year or so later he was back. Then Jay-Z did a fake retirement in 98' saying it was his last album, Master P said Last Don was his last album.. and it was just a marketing shtick that worked in those days but soon folks caught on and I don't think headz really fall for it anymore
