All the guest spots?

Gin and Juice - solo
Shiznit - solo
Lodi Dodi - solo
Murder Was the Case - solo
What's My Name - solo
Gz and Hustlas - solo
Gz Up Hoes Down - solo

And then apart from that, you've got a Rage track, a DPG track, and then guest verses on Serial Killa, Ain't No Fun,  Doggy Dogg World and Pump Pump.

Sounds like they were looking for any excuse to cheat the West Coast out of 5 mics.

Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

That was what I was thinking. I could kind of see where the reviewer was coming from, but he overexaggerated the part about the guest appearances. In matter of fact I never had a problem with them and I believe it added to the greatness of doggystyle. I don't think doggystyle would have been the same if snoop went completely solo and I can't see how this album can possibly get any better(unless they added next episode and doggystyle). This album is one of the most undeniable 5 mic classics ever.

what ya'll don,t understand is that in '94, it wasn't considered a classic already. albums that are considered classic immediatly are rare. I only see 2001..

Yes, heh yeah no wonder why you west coasters never liked the Source. i don't see how one person can browse an album and do a credible review. I can just imagine the reviewer pre-judging the album:
''This can't be 5 Mics I don't care how good the songs are.''

But the Source has since re-done many album ratings

The SOURCE went back and gave Chronic, Doggystyle and Dre 2001 5 Mics.

I remember a lot of reviews back then complained that the album was basically just a continuation of "The Chronic" and not much else.  Back then, that actually seemed like a semi-valid complaint, I guess.  But history has a tendency of proving people wrong, and I guess this dude couldn't have imagined that 13 years later, cats would still be bumping the hell outta this album.  I mean, "Gin and Juice" is pretty much an immortal party joint.

The guest appearance complaint doesn't make sense to me, tho...I didn't think they were excessive, and the best thing is that they all make you realize how much better Snoop is in comparison.
