D.O.C. Deuce & MC Breed Flatline
« on: May 23, 2003, 12:12:35 PM »
There was a thread a few months back about how Gorilla Pimpin' from Duece is the exact same track that's on MC Breed's Flatline album.  I was listening to the Breed album today and noticed another similarity between Duece's "Ghetto Blues" and Breed's "Dreamin'".  Also "Dear Lord" sounds similar to DOC's interlude's on Deuce.

.....still, this MC Breed album is tight.

P.S. 4Tay is tha shit.
And Six Two is my most anticipated rapper of the moment.
I want him to sign to Aftermath and to release an album instead of 50 Cent.
This dude is perfect for Dr. Dre beats.

Its not a rip off of the breed song...

i knew i knew it was a sample of an old song, but didnt know what one... my copy of deuce is here now...

they both sample BT Express  - Do It (Till Ya Satisfied)

Quik also used the drums from this for Addictive... its very very widely used.

ghetto blues also samples a song.. maybe the same situation?

that song is.. 'best of my love' by theo coakley (never heard of this one before myself)

::)that shit is fuckin pathetic...Gorilla Pimpin' from Duece is word for word the exact same song from MC Breed's album...The DOC wrote & produced both (he does the hook on Breed's version) but Breed's delivery kills Six-Two (i think dude is wack anyways...he sounds like he's reading his lyrics)

Em gave Breed props in 8 Mile... Get Mine was in the movie and on the "More Music From..." soundtrack.

Don't know too much about Breed; only have the Funkafied album... but DFC's Things In Da Hood is a classic.

Hear that? C-L-A-S-S-I-C. Put it in the archives.
