King Gordy - The Entity
« on: November 24, 2006, 10:57:57 AM »
 1-The Entity produced by Hexmurda

    It's skit type intro...

2-Nightmares produced by Eminem and Luis Resto

Hard beat and harder rap over it. Eminem use some rock sounded samples on it for King Gordy and it's got a little bit horor sounded lyrics

    [Chorus]
    Don't let me fall asleep
    Gordy will come for me
He shows up in all my dreams
    Chasin and hauntin me

3-The Pain produced by Eminem and Luis Resto

Nice piano by Luis Resto on it. Good beat and better chorus is enough to make this song one of the best on the album. Gordy talkin bout
    Rap game,dissing something he dont like, and he is telling he bring the pain into the rap game for bitch niggaz;

"I'm coming wit more reality than virtual
    Watch my family circle you
    Bashin you till he's purple
You fightin, look like a Teletubie
I don't think you want to fight with this King
I'm Joe Lewis baby! Knock you out, right in this ring"

 4-Fight produced by FBT

I'm glad to have another chance to hear Bass Brother producitons. We all know who discovered Eminem. I'm still listening to Slim Shady LP
They were also on Marshal Mathers LP, Devil's Night and The Eminem Show. Then we ever have chance to see them in any credits of Eminem and
D12 albums. Now They presenting King Gordy and Em helps them to handle this together. Beat is dark but energic! Lyrics are about beef and tellin
like a fight on a ring. 2nd hardcore styled beat help us to understand Gordy's style right now

5-Situations feat. Obie Trice produced by ???

Gordy is talkin bout his different hobies, treats and life he live around subjects introduced by Obie Trice. In verses beat is banging fast with effective
kicks then it's getting slow for obie and gordy handle it again and making it rise. Different type of song

6-When Darkness Falls produced by Eminem and Jeff Bass

Deep song, another hit of the album. Beat is amazing. King Gordy rap over lifes inside the darkness. Good lyrics and rap. Overall it is perfect. It is not
similar to anything. When you started to listen to the song, it's getting you inside

"Life is messy. Careful, you may got blood stains on your shirt
You don't like the ways things are going? Trust me, death can't be worse
Make your choice. Self murder or get saved in a church
While the pure virgin Mary carries this baby of hers
You were sent to wash away sins that remain in this world
Things go good again, but then a dark change will occur"

 7-Playground(skit)

8-Time to Die feat. Bizzare produced by ???

A rare slow song on the album. Drum kits really goes perfect and it holds the melody. Bizzare and Gordy talking bout their and human's psychology
which can make them think it's time to die sometimes

    [Verse 3 - Bizarre]
I'm supposed to be playing professional hockey
Short and stocky. With a hook like Rocky
I'm deadly than full blown AIDs
Matta fact, I got full blown AIDs from fuckin John Bennet
My little girl got a heat exhaustion
I thought that she would be alive after two weeks in Boston
    Sexy women... I fucking hate
Tie me up with a rope and feed me corn flakes
My grandmother... She just turned 75
For a gift I'm giving her a black eye
Sex offender who calls himself Ronald
Jacking my dick, watching the excersise channel
My mother... she's a known slut
My job is ear her pussy and make sure the grass is cut (Like this mommy?)
On Van Dyke and Harper eatin a big baby
    It's not a hamburger... It's a fucking old lady

    [Chorus - King Gordy]
I'm all alone in my basement with a gun. (Pull the trigger, pull the trigger) (I'm so high)
I'm all alone in my basement with a gun. (Pull the trigger, pull the trigger) (Time to die)

9-Fan-Tastic feat. Fat-Killahz produced by Steve King

Ok we got a funny song finally. Mix guy Steve King's himself drops a beat helps rappers to rap over calm. This is a song that makes you lean back
and have a rest whit cool verses on it

10-Pass Me a Lighter produced by Eminem and Luis Resto

I dont know how will i review this song. It got a classic Eminem sound we used to here much. I couldnt dicede it's deep or funny. If you listen to
it you will understand what i'm talkin bout.

"I am to the east side what Biggie was to New York
Hope I'm lyrically uplifting ya when I'm dropping this
Stay humble, never arrogant. Just confident
I just want Detroit to love me, oh I cry for you
I looked out yelling your name, ready to die for you
I just want to puff a blunt, oh just for you
Oh Detroit, I love you so (Oh! Well....)"

    [Chorus]
Ohh... somebody pass me a lighter
Oh wont you please light this blunt up for me. (Tell 'em why!)
So I can get high and start spittin the fire. (Aw, Gordy!)
Let these niggaz know why they call you 'siah

11-No Lights produced by FBT

Wowww. Greatest song on the album to me. Jeff and Mark using their all musical cultere and talent on this one. That's why i'm glad they are producing most
for other genres. Melodies are really smooth and keep you focus with ur eyes closed. King Gordy has done the best he can. He is telling a story
about his life which has been formed by his family and relationships whit them. Chorus is also nice and maybe the summary of song:

    [Chorus]
Momma why we ain't got no lights?
Why you and auntie fight over a pipe?
Why all these roaches at night?
Why my uncle always come and steal every thing in sight?
Why different guys pick up my sister every day of her life?
Why my brother in the streets always blazing that indo?
Why they sellin crack and blowin up your basement window?
Momma why you send me to school dirty and never clean?
I'm gettin teased cause my clothes smell like kerosene

12-We Violent produced by FBT

Here comes the Bass Brothers again. They know how they do it. And i think one comment is enough to tell this song: "VIOLENT"

13-The Mask produced by ???

One and only wack song on the album. No comment

14-Hello Gordy(skit)

15-Stress featuring Sel produced by ???

Not hardcore this time. Because this is heavy metal :) and it really sounds Limp Bizkit whit his chorus:

      "I hope you know you
are a victim if you listen to this
You're ready to start a riot cuz you're feelin this shit
Your boss is getting on your goddamn nerves, ay?
Talkin bout he ain't see you at work lately"

      [Chorus - Sal]
You hate your job, you're so depressed. STRESS!
      You just wanna get paid
Stayed on the block, now you're homeless. STRESS!
Beggin for some change and I said
I so hate this, but I embrace it
      I can fly... STRESS!

"So what your wife left ya? I know you missin her
A couple shots of Jackie Dan, man you wont remember her
       We'll have a fun time-a Drinkin Budweiser"

16-Nobody Hates Nothin' produced by Luis Resto

Now this is the first time we see Luis Resto producing a song alone. And be sure it dont sound like productions he did with Eminem. Nice
female vocal raise the level and makes you sing together. King Gordy runs this shit emotional on lyrics at the moment. He acts a role as an
underground rapper who just came into this industry. He acts a role as a looser got self distrust:

"Nobody loves me, nobody likes me
Why am I rhymin? Ain't nobody gon buy me
     Can't even get nobody
No woman wants to hold me, I'm lonely. I'm a big nobody"

     [Chorus]
Nobody wants you, they're all gonna laugh at you. (Laugh at you)
Cuz in reality, everybody hates your guts. (Yeah, they hate your guts)
I never loved you even though I know that you loved me
Gordy, you're nothing. Gordy, you're nothing. Gordy, you're nothing
     Yeeeeeaaaaaah

Great endin' and another one of the best on the album.

Sorry for the missing credits. I tryed everything to find all. Thanks to everybody spends their time for this review. I hope you got the album and like it as much as i like.

I got it because I had heard that Eminem's producers Mark and Jeff Bass did the whole album.  So it sounds like the Slim Shady LP type of production, which I love.  But the lyrics are just a little too satanic for my taste these days.
