Whats wrong with ya'll?!? i've seen none of this new stuff from the #1 soul brother (but my 2nd fave producer after mr young..) mentioned in here...

there was a little word a little while back of a reunion.. looks promising from this!

some stuffs definitely older (pre split?).. but maybe new to us (old vocals?.. only goin on date mentioned in the track 'da two').. the nfo's say its new stuff... so i gotta go with that..

before this the last new pete rock i heard was a remix of family affair i picked up on 12"


three rips this month... oldest first... (well actually CMS ripped thte last two on the same day...)

myself at first impressions... specialize is the best of the bunch... the two tracks in 'shine on me' are a little more upbeat... sounds good though!.. cant wait!

"The Life" is a dope track and the "The Cake" is from Petestrumentals, good song too but already released.

Haven't seen this yet and I wanna check out "Specialize".  "Da Two" is from Soul Survivor and "Back On The Block" was released as a 12" in 2001 I believe.  Both of those songs are just perfect, classic Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth shit.

oh yeah... what tracks on petestrumentals got removed for the 2nd edition? and what got added?

i know i've got the first edition.. but cant remember what changed

had a quick look around.. seems like the reunion rumour thing came about in 2001.. then seems that the reunion was just a few sessions together, at least they've made up now. since then we've had petestrumentals.. guess 'back on the block' might have come from those sessions.

so 'shine on me'  is the only real brand new stuff... and looking around its just a 12" together, and theres no album planned... yet. guess depending on how things go they might pick up speed and get back towards a full length LP sometime.

I thought they stopped the reunion (for the second time) a while ago. And apparently this is all we'll hear of it.
