What YEAR of hip hop do you listen to the most & least?

If I only had to pick one year for the best, I'd probably say 1996.  A lotta tight shit came out that year.  1994 was also a good year.  Really I loved 94-96.

1998 I think is the worst year.

yeh shit i play most is from 93-94.....2001 may be a close second. 93 was no doubt the best tho. I think 98 was worst, because end of 99 and even summer we were startin 2 come back....98 we had like 3 tite songs...

Hell yes...94-96 for me...alot of good hiphop came out then all different styles...

...from gravediggaz to cube to cypress hill to domino to wu tang etc etc the list is endless!!


lol damn i miss those days tho i hope this year will be a good one :)

93-94 was amazing. I've said it before, but I just remember so many styles that year. Off the top of my head I remember picking up... LL's 14 Shots, Doggystyle, 19Naughty3, Boss' Born Gangsta, Onyx, OutKast's first album (I think... or was that 1994)... Pac's Strictly 4 My...

favorite West album and album in general.. The Chronic

favorite East album and 3rd in general.. Enter The 36 Chambers

2nd favorite album.. Doggystyle

4th/5th favorite album.. Niggaz4Life

a specific year would be 93 or 96.. but the whole era 93-96.

worst is either 98 (although we did have WC solo, nate's shit, xzibit, bad azz)

damm...summer 94, i remember when i used to sit at the radio for hours strait jus recordin songs, and then watchin bet recordin videos. I remember callin my homeboys when somethin new came on, and i was like "turn to bet!!!!! this dj video is on!!!!!" and it was the first summer i had been listenin to rap so it made it even better.

but 88 is a classic year too:

NWA - staright outta compton
too short - born to mack

92 might be the best year ever tho.. cause we got a bunch of albums that year..

1997 was the worst year ever.

1998 wasn't too bad other than A Tribe Called Quest breaking up.  Aquemini, Moment Of Truth, El Nino, Soul Survivor, The Love Movement, Doc's Da Name, Shut 'Em Down '98, Capital Punishment, Retalation, Revenge & Get Back, Rhythmalism and 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz ,all good albums (to me atleast) that came out in 1998.
