YELLA "One Mo Nigga Ta Go"
« on: June 14, 2003, 10:48:31 AM »
Anyone like this album? from 96. Dedicated to Eazy.

It had some tight shit, smooth groves. Dresta, BG, Dirty Red were all on it and Kokane. Leicy Loc who's Dresta & BG's lil sister is on it too, she was on IV Life Records up until 2002.

Personally I thought about 75% of it was wack as fuck. Loved the tunes with Kokane and Shaki, but everythung else was horrible. The one thing I got from the album was that Yella couldn't hang behind the boards without Dre. Oh, and the song where Yella was talking to Eazy was nice too.

Hahaha damn Lord Funk what are you smokin? "Westside" with Dirty Red got to be the smoothest shit ever..Dre couldnt neva a do a track like even with 1000 ghostproducers helpin him  ;D.....All the other "real" tracks are on point except that attempt of doin a RnB track with Traci Nelson, that one is kinda cheesy..the other tracks with no-one rappin on them are purely instrumentals really, but they are tight as fuck..waste of beats if you ask me. As far as Yella "not hangin" with Dre, Yellas trackrecord speaks for itself...AND he did all that shit by HIMSELF no Melman,J-Flexx,Warren G,Colin Wolfe, Chris the Glove Taylor, Budda, Sto B Doo,Floss P, Mahagony and the list goes on of producers who has helped his sorry ass for ages.

Peace
