Yeah, I think 7 year olds know who snoop is.  For the past 7 years he's been all over everything.  It's just my opinion, I could be wrong, but I think "snoop doggy dogg" is a pretty funny name, and people remember that kind of stuff.  I don't know how many old OLD people I have heard say his name, or mention it.. it's something that sticks in your head.  Eminem gets props for being big, but if you were around in 93 when Snoop came out, you'd know that Snoop was bigger then than Eminem is now.

100% agreed! Even though Em is really big right now, back in 93 rap wasn't nearly as universal as it is today so snoop basically singlehandedly brought ten million listeners to the rap game and basically became the most popular rapper of that time and overall is still one of the most popular, but his popularity in 93 was MUCH bigger than Em's is now.

exactly my point! both of them brought non hip-hop fans to the rap game but my real point was that there was MANY more people back in 93 that hated rap and only got into it because of Snoop, nowadays theres a lot of rap fans and not as many haters.

yeah thas totally true! dre always brings a rapper to the game but isn't as recognized jsut like he did with Snoop and Em, Both of them are more recognized than Dre is.
