I remember when he got shot, I wasnt trippin I was thinkin like everybody else, he was a super man or somethin.
I had just come home from school, Friday Sept. 13, I remember I had just rented Crash Bandicoot for PS1...I hear my dad talkin to my mom and he said "he died? oh i didn't know that" and i went to the room and was like who died, and my dad was like 2Pac, and I was like whaaaat??!?!?!??!??!?!
I was in a state of shock for a few hours...it was just like Sept. 11, and JFK for baby boomers...some shit where everybody remembers what they were doin, where they were at, etc...
I remember on the beat Theo announced it, he sounded so dammm sad...he was like "i'm taking a break" and he didn't come back for a few weeks. I remember Westside Radio that nite was all 2Pac songs and Dedicational songs, like "Crossroads"
"I aint mad at ya" had just come out on the radio, and I got sad everytime I heard that shit, because it just has a sad tone to it anyway but then he had died.
