True Crimes:Streets of La to be better then GTA?!?
« on: September 16, 2002, 05:45:53 PM »
Aight this game looks dope as fuck
its 400 square miles of AUTHENTIC LA
u can fuck around (just like GTA) or do missions
u can hop into any vehicle at any time (just like GTA)
it looks to be just like GTA but better
better graphics (well of course, cause its on XBOX)
also Customize Soundtracks (so u can listen to any song u want)

ill post up some more info as it becomes avalible

Sounds dope and all, but from what you posted, this is a GTA RIPOFF!!
It won't be original, and it won't be anything we haven't seen before.
GTA:VC all the way.. The originator.

Seems pretty scetchy..
* Stealing the whole concept from GTA3
* The nice graphics isn't nice yet, because it's far from a release date
* X-Box's attempt at copying GTA's sucess?

The game won't be innovative, and it will have the "rip-off tale" on it's name.
Maybe it'll be good anyways, but I'll go for GTA:VC any time of the day.

Oh for the love of hell,

So is every racing game ever created a rip off of the first racing game ever made?

Is every first person shooter in the world a doom rip off,

Its called a genre folks, GTA really broke some boundaries, and has basically become its own genre, because it doesnt fit into any other.

Its not like its gonna be the Exact same game, it most likely (reply to this in 2003 if im wrong) will expand and improve on most aspects of GTA, thats what happens in "Genres"

There are two upcoming "GTA Ripoffs" ... Streets of L.A. which is for the Xbox and The Getaway for the ps2... the getaway takes place in London England and has some promising things in it, but like most people here... GTA:VC is gonna rock
