To be considered a country you should atleast break the 10 million mark.

LoL, how ignorant is that ??
You're dismissing a large number of countries there..
5 has decided that Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria and New Zealand are not countries.

lol

lol cmon you know I was talking about in this U.N. contest ;D

Australia - 19,546,792 pop. should be number #1

WOW.

You've listed the populations of cities in California.

Congrats.

The UN publish a list of the 20 top countries in terms of quality of life.  Yes you are 100% correct that it is much easier to manage 200,000 than 200 million.  Well done.

But you're going to have to come to the terms with the fact that the UN were not judging how easy or difficult it is to provide prosperity, merely what the quality of life is.

Australia, Canada, and Switzerland all deserved to be ranked higher. I've never been to Norway or Iceland, so I can't argue with that. But, both Switzerland and Canada should be above the U.S. on the list. Also, where is the UAE on the list?

Switzerland is well nice but it is fucking expensive.  But that only affects tourists so i guess it don't matter.  All of the viking countries burn holes in wallets as well.
