To be considered a country you should atleast break the 10 million mark.
lol add up the first 4 countries population and you barely have the population of California (36 million).

One thing you have to remember about Australia though is that only the coastal regions are hospitable.  The majority of the country is nothing.

It's a joke how crowded we are.  Once again if we take Scotland out of the equation (the highlands are huge and about 14 people live there) then we become even more squashed.

Congrats.

The UN publish a list of the 20 top countries in terms of quality of life.  Yes you are 100% correct that it is much easier to manage 200,000 than 200 million.  Well done.

But you're going to have to come to the terms with the fact that the UN were not judging how easy or difficult it is to provide prosperity, merely what the quality of life is.
