I will say this. I do agree with Maestro. I'm not for communism, but I think that some sort of socialist programs are needed. Free health care to all is a start. Doesn't mean everyone gets free health care, you can pay for better privite health care, but I am, and I'm surrounded by, poor people that don't have health care, and paying for medical bills is not exactly an easy thing to do when you can barely affort all your bills, and put food on the table. Medical expensive do add up. As I grow older, and face many issues, this problems that I just shugged off have become evident. In a nation that Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness is a motto, then let the poor be allowed to live, and kids who's parents are poor, let the parents not debate wither to take them to the hospital because they cannot affort it. Expensive medical needs that insurances wouldn't cover, we need people to feel free to live. No be turned down in the emergency room because of no insurance. As Americans, we are the riches nation in the world, in our people should have this right of at least public health care to those that can't affort privite. Not take the place of, but be an option. Why, because in all actuality, and most econimist agree, poor people do more for the economy than rich. Most billionaires save there money, and the money does not circulate. Were as poor people spend ever cent they have, because they are more worried about buying food, and paying bills, rather than saving money. The spending of money is what really moves the economy, which Bill Clinton understood well when he gave the poor tax cuts, and raised rich taxes, because they save the money anyways. It is not Communism, it is protecting the people that move the economy. FREE PUBLIC HEALTH CARE. Peace

Oh, and p.s., tell all your friends and neighbors about Medicaid.  My mom's on it.  Also, if they'll call the hospitals, it's a law that a public hospital cannot refuse patients who can't afford service.  I'm surprised they didn't realize that, after all, this is America, opportunities abound.

My mom collapsed on the floor of Shoneys, working her ass off, to make waitress wages.  She had no health insurance.

Doctors found a softball sized tumour in her colon, and rushed her into emergency surgery, treated her for diabetes, gave her 6 months of home nursing, gave her food stamps and supplemental income while she was recovering, gave her a 50,000 dollar reattachment surgery, and then all of the home care and hospital stays over again.

Cost to her? 0 dollars.  Why? Because we're in america, people, and our government, help those in need.  It was all completely free, as it is to anybody who needs medical care.  

You people keep acting like america doesn't have free health care... we don't NEED IT.  If you don't have insurance, you don't have to pay, simple as that.  It's a law, look it up.

Depends on the state. In California it ends at 18. Other states it's whenever.
