One of the most unique CD's of 2003
« on: July 20, 2003, 05:34:45 PM »

Alright, go ahead and back outta the thread now since I know you ain't gonna give it a chance.

This CD is very creative.  It follows the story such as Wizard of Oz, but it is from a crackdealer's (Violent J) point of view.  Each track fades into the next in a true story fashion with humor and also some serious concepts of life.  If by some chance that 1 person outta a million on this board checks it out or downloads it, make sure you listen to it in order.  Like Violent J said, this is truly an album to smoke to (I don't smoke, but everyone else I know tells me this is correct!)....

1.  Intro
2.  Let it rain
3.  Yellow brick alleyway
4.  Homies 2 smoke with
5.  Thug whilin'
6.  Horribly horrifying
7.  What U thinkin' about?
8.  Shiny diamonds
9.  The wizard's palace

sounds dope, when ICP are doin actual hip-hop & not bullshit they're good. what songs would you recommend for me to d/l so i can decide whether is worth my $$$?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

If I convert them to MP3 and email them to somebody, could they upload 'em so everybody can hear 'em?  I've had trouble trying to upload songs myself....

I think if you guys gave them a chance, (excluding those who DID), you might change your opinion about some of their music....
