Trina - Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Nelly, Ludacris, Baby

LOL @ Trina's list

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

its not just that its just there are 100s of MCs better than all of them except Jay & even he isnt top 5 IMO

as far as the more mainstream stuff goes...jay is in the top 5...but prolly number 5...as far as all of hip hop goes...jay isnt even top 10 i dont think. hes a great artist...but theres so many better. but yea there were a few of those artists that listed some stupid shit...sounds like some of them need to broaden their horizons

Top 5:

14 - Biggie
11 - Rakim
10 - 2Pac
9 - Jay-Z
8 - Nas

LOL @ anyone naming Nelly. And it was really surprising to see Canibus naming Eminem. Trina's list is a joke, other than that there's many good lists here. I like Talib Kweli's best.
