Presentation
The menus seem like VH1at times but Melissa Stark and halftime cheerleaders make up for it. 9.0

Graphics
The stadiums are finally as impressive as the players and the new animations help a little.  8.0

Sound
u'll love Al Michaels because he's not Pat Summerall. But Madden is still Madden when all is said and done. 8.0

Gameplay
More gameplay modes, tons of customization options and new hot routes all in one game? Yep. 9.0

Lasting Appeal
Multiplayer games never disappoint and the Franchise mode is still a winner. 8.0

a lot of MADDEN FANBOYS are quite pissed over this review... first off... the reviewer usually does reviews for Xbox... so they believe he is giving the XBOX a better  review... who knows... I don't care... a 9.1/10 is awesome... they wanted 10/10 ....a lot of people are anticipating the NFL2k3 review now... will it be better or worse... who knows, both  games are gonna have their fans... the only part of the review i dont understand is the lasting appeal... last year's version recieved a 10/10 and with this years version having online capabilities i dont know how the appeal could run low until 2004 comes along...

who reviewed it for ps2?? they gave the xbox version a 8.8/10 which sounds closer to the truth than 9.1
