Whats the Solution for WWE??
« on: July 23, 2002, 09:57:52 PM »
The ratings are getting better, but, they aint got the sold out crowds they used to have, and the popularity went down... Since the WWE lost Steve Austin, they lost a lot, even with the NWO, HBK, Flair, The Rock, Angle, etc... I can blame Brock Lesnar a bit cuz hes SOoooo Boring and never loses for some reason

The WWE needs To get some differents world champs... if Hardy would win againts Taker and kept the title for a couple of months, it could be interesting.. They give chances to people with no skills like Brock, but forget bout Hardy, RVD, etc... If RVD was King of The Ring, it would make more sense...

Now The WWE is in a lot of rumors, comeback of Scott Steiner, HBK back in the ring, etc... Is that what they really need? I think the solution is IN the company, if they sign Scott Steiner, its enuff...

Wus ur thoughts??

brock lesner no talent,  r u kiddin me.  brock is tha man.  he has mad skill.  i heard he can do a shootin star press.  They need to push some youngn's into tha main event not be squashed right away when they reach it.  Its so borin right now tha main even scene hopefully wit brock that will help change things.  jericho needs to become a force amongst tha main eventers again but HHH held him down even when he got his shot

the only 4 world champs that have ever had charisma and mad mic skills are:
HBK
Triple H
The Rock
And Austin

I think that the WWE needs to bring back the MAGIC and the fun.  Get rid of the oldies, and bring in fresh new talent.

Peace

What happened was the writers fucked up and blew so many chances to keep the attention of the fans

WCW angle blown
Heel Stone Cold turning into some sissy
nWo angle blown
First brand extension blown

Those were four major angle in the past couple of years and they all fucked up. Also the booking is kinda shitty too. Too many of the same matches over and over againin my opinion, but that's no big deal.

and all the new talent have been given bad roles, like Deacon Bautista.

It's not the wrestlers, its the damn writers.

yep, I agree with Sikotic, but the thing I will say is that the writers have proberly been doing there thing for like 20-30 years.  The amount of good idea's and good roles have proberly all been done already.

e.g. Vince vs Austin
Corparate Ministry vs. DX
Rock and Sock Connection

All the good storylines have been done they dont want to be repeating themselves from like 5 years ago.  And the matches as well, I think introducing nw kind of matches would boost rating because like for the last 6 PPV's the main event's have always been either just a single match or a triple threat, I know people will come on and say what about MAnkind and Triple H, hell in the cell.  But thats the thing all the hype about that and I dont even think it was a god match.

New matches need to be thought of and made carefully.  LIke WCW's triple cge match, it was new it was different and dam it was exciting.  I dont mean go over the top with like Barbed wire ropes, flaming buckles and a cage and shit like that I just mean NEW matches that fans will think are good and exciting, none of this Hell in the cell and cage with dogs in the middle, e.g Al Snow and Boss man, that was 1 of the worst matches for hype ever. Saying there will be dogs on the outside and there owners had hold of them, what a joke.

The Rock as champ is a start, but we all know his going to lose to film movies, which is bad. Less title changes, and more stablity to the World Title. Develope one popular champion that people want to see, or one main chacter, such as Hulk Hogan, and Stone Cold before. Like I say Kurt Angle is the best man. Remake him an American Hero, of something were his a bad ass, and have him feuding with Brock Lesner, Untertaker, Chris Jericho, and even faces like The Rock, and RVD. I think it's a long term solution, as it takes a while for the people to get into a chacter, but like last time, while watching Stone Cold, other people like Rocky, Foley, and Unsertaker were able to also be pushed, and people began to regonize them. So by having Angle, or for now Rocky, as champ, other young talent can be seen, like Jericho and Lesner so that people can see them as threats. The mistake right now is the WWE is trying to keep current fans, what they should do is attrack new ones with a more updated face, like Kurt Angle in a time were people are more patroitic. Turning Angle bad after winnning the title against Stone Cold was a huge mistake. Angle still gets people on the side he wants, and without Rocky, he could/should be the biggest star.
