Just my thoughts on it, since most people apparently don't think the way I do.

1st, it's not a 'farce' because gary coleman and everybody and their brother is running for governor.  The american citizens pick the governor of their own states.  If they want to elect Gary Coleman governor, god bless Gary Coleman.  If they want Larry Flynt to be governor, then they should elect Larry Flynt.  It's their decision, and anybody has the right to run for governor, no matter what their intentions, or status, or who they are, or who they were.  There's nothing that's a joke about 195 people signing up to run.  That's how it's supposed to be.  If we were back around the founding of California, that's probably how it was in the beginning, before t.v. and newspaper ads ran costs up.

Second, ANYBODY would be a better choice than blackout... um, Gray Davis.  The guys a fucking Kook, of course a lot of californians are too, so maybe it's not too bad.  He wants to give benefits to illegal immigrants, etc. how the hell can you vote for somebody like that? Are you fucking stupid?  He takes taxpayer money, so while you're working your ASS off at Taco Bell or wherever the hell you can find a job fresh out of high school or while you're going to college... while you're doing that, he takes your tax money and gives it to the guy who's in the country illegally, so he can get a drivers liscense, or welfare assistance, or whatever.  You're running a charity, and can't even afford to move out of your moms house.  Why in the hell would anybody vote for someone like that?

The guy is a nut.  He doesn't know how to do shit, he thinks the answer to everything is to throw money at it.  Lemme break down some common sense that somehow Davis doesn't understand, and I do with a limited intellect and hardly any money to throw around like he has.

First, no problem, noooo problem gets solved by throwing money at it.  Yall had bad power shortages, and the power companies kept raising their rates, since power was in higher demand, they could charge more.  So, Gray puts a fucking cap on what they can charge.  That's a bandaid.  Since there's a cap on what they can charge for the power, they just sell the power to somebody else who'll pay more, so yall have blackouts all the fucking time.  He didn't address the PROBLEM, too much power consumption, not enough supply.  Next, he decides that the state will pay the extra power charges.  After months and months and months of paying the charges, he ran the fucking state into a defecit, and started yelling for price caps again.  AGAIN, he didn't address the problem, he just threw money at it.

The schools.  When I lived in Cali in the 80's, the school system was so advanced, I moved out of the state and was double-promoted, since in Cali I had learned an extra grade level of education.  Think about that.  Now they're the worst in the country!  That's not entirely his problem, but he's doing nothing to fix it.  YOU CANNOT THROW MONEY AT A PROBLEM.  There are deeper underlying problems that money will not solve.

Utah spends less money per student than any other state in America.  They also have the highest test grades of any other state in America.  How's that possible? Because Utahians are really family orientated, so the kids have better households and their parents help them learn.

That's what's wrong with california, they look to the government for assistance, it has NOTHING TO DO with the government.  The problem with the government is it steps into your lives and screws things up, it makes obstacles.

Look at Arnold, he came to America, after busting his butt doing whatever he could to become famous and make a name for himself.  Once he got here, he used his head and ensured he could continue to succeed, he moved into movies, took acting lessons, opened businesses, invested his money.  Now he's sitting pretty and his kids and their kids will be too.  ALL BECAUSE HE WORKED HIS ASS OFF.

He didn't ask for handouts from the state.  He didn't say that the government owed him money, he didn't look for help from the government.  The government provided him with citizenship, and protection, and a mail service, he thrived in it.  What else do we need government for?  This welfare state we're trying to start has to END.

In 200 years look how america has soared, all because the founding fathers were GENIUS enough to LIMIT government in our documents!!! It wasn't because the government was socialist, or because we gave handouts to everybody.  The government stayed the hell out of the way, gave us freedom, and let us build on OUR OWN MERITS.  California needs to wake up, and build themselves up on their own merits, and Arnold or whoever wins the governorship needs to help get the government out of people's lives so they can make something of themselves.

Don't give me all the exception stories, because I won't be around to read them.  Of course there are exceptions to every rule, and of course there are some families that do need assistance from the government, and there are some children that do need special programs and assistance, but generally, the government plays WAY too big a role in our lives, and the taxation and imposition of laws into our lives does nothing but hold us back.  Socialism is slavery.

The important issue here is how the Republicans use their money to circumvent democracy.

Issa hired professionals to collect signatures.  And it took them months.

Now they are promising to do it elsewhere.  Ever since Clinton the Republican party has pursued policies of getting elected by hook or by crook; they care nothing about policies, they will do anything to get elected.
