Best Games of the World Cup 2002
« on: June 30, 2002, 04:46:36 AM »
Senegal vs Sweden (Round Of 16)
Senegal wins 2-1 with a Golden Goal by Camara.

Argentina vs Sweden (Last Game in the First Round)
Argentina ties Sweden but needed one more goal to qualify to the next round and couldnt do that in the last 5 minutes.

Cameroon vs Germany (Last Game in the First Round)
Germany wins 2-0 it was a hard fought game. This game was war.  ANd thats why i put this game here.

South korea vs Turkey (3rd Place Match)
This game records History with the fastest Goal in all of WOlrd Cups by Hakan Sukur in 10 Seconds.  South korea almost came back in the end but just needed a lil more time. Turkey gets 3rd in a 3-2 Victory.

South Korea vs Spain (Quarter Final Match)
South korea wins the game with Penalty Shots in the end. But Spain tried so hard, they score, refs would take it away from them and Spain would just get frustrated.  Hierro's face said it all in the end of the game. THe Agony of Defeat.

That was one of the top moments.  Kobi Jones is a little gimp and as soon as he came on as a sub every mexican started stamping on him and shit lol  And the ref just let them do it which was funny

HAHAHAHAHA

Man.. remember Juventus-Arsenal! ;)

LOL.

Naw.. can you honestly call two games decided by a refree exciting games? Maybe for all the non-italians, because Italy was a strong team, but... for real....

still thinking.....

Ok ok - you got robbed by shitty decisions

Now fucking move on and forget about it - it's gone

Don't pretend the whole World Cup was crap just because Italy went out unfairly

I'm not saying that.

But still... where are the champions? Where are the great teams? Dont call Rivaldo a champion.

Ronaldo is a champion who struggled in Italy all the year and who found it very easy in this world cup, cause he's still a champion.

Cut him and... who are those champions we will remember forever? Those teams who excited all of us because of their players and their spectacular actions?

Dont talk about Senegal and Korea, please! Nobody will remember them in 2 months.

And i'm sure nobody knows more than 3 players of those 2 teams.

remember Juventus-Arsenal!

If Arsenal had beat you 78 - 0 they would have still gone out

Cause Leverkusen beat Deportivo

So I don't really have to thank you lol

1) People still remember Cameroon beating Argentina 12 years on - we will remember Senegal

2) LoL - you adressing that to me?
Tony Sylva in goal, Diao (Scouse bastard), Hadji Diouf (gonna be a scouse bastard), Fadiga, Big Papa Bouba Diop, Big Papa Malick Diop, Henri Camara etc.
Lee Woon Jae in goal, Hong Myung Bo, the captain, veteran of 4 world cups, Ahn Jung Hwan (haha), Lee Young Pyo on the left, Yoo Sang Chul, Park Ji Sung (great goal vs Portugal) etc.

But I understand what you are saying about the lack of greats. Ronaldo is the only real great of this tournament.

But who was the great of France '98?  It wasn't Zidane so don't say him
