Why The American Constitution & Bill of Rights is Genius
« on: August 23, 2003, 11:26:44 PM »
Simple reason: It doesn't grant power to the government, or define the government... it simply LIMITS the government.  Genius.   Who the hell thought of that?

LOL... it's in history who did. It's a great piece of work. The Bill of Right especially. I love that thing.

Well, i'm sure they'd credit it to Thomas Jefferson, but I mean, who actually came up with that idea?  It may have been Jefferson, or Washington, or Franklin, I'm not sure if Franklin was around from the beginning though.

it was a convention of muthaphukkaz homie. Read up, they all didn't agre with everything. Jefferson was the main author of the Declairation of Independence, and he lead the party (Anti-Federalist) that pushed for the Bill of Rights. But the Constitution was written by many men. I love being a U.S. History major.  :)
