Dressing up for an Awards Show is pointless
« on: August 30, 2002, 09:59:27 PM »
The Britney's, the J-Lo's, the Augulera's will soon be replaced with new women for men to admire and beat themselves to.  These women will end up on Entertainment Tonight detailing the horrors of the industry; and the pressure to live up to the impossible standards of beauty they felt Hollywood demanded of them.  Every year the bar raises, every year these women feel compelled to show more and more skin, to be bigger and badder then the next chick.  They are walking a tightrope, and at some point one of these women could easily loose their footing and fall into the hells of depression, anerexia, bilemia, etc.  We should not add to the problem by sending them a false message, by telling them that physical beauty is the total sum of their existence.

There will be those that close their eyes, and plug their ears with their forefingers, and later swear upon their Holy Bibles to have seen no evil and heard no evil.

I agree man. You can look nice and be attractive to men without being naked, or almost naked.

Finally I agree with you on something, women seem to portray themselves in a sluty way.  Hate that!

Honestly, I think she looks like a heroin addict.  I'd turn her down, straight up.

About the original post, yeah, I agree. I also think that eventually, it'll turn on itself, and stop... women will go back to the intelligent thing, and show off their beauty, but not have to use so much skin to do it.  Look at Mary J. Blige from last night, she looked better than everybody you named and was wearing totally classy clothes.

Well, nice looks fade.  Heroin addictions don't.  I'm more long term orientated, then short term orientated, I want a woman I like to be around, regardless of what she looks like.
