lol... I keep meaning to buy second copies of all my favourite albums ... obviously there a lot you could ALWAYS find a new copy of, but the thought of ever getting a scratch on Quik's Rhythm-al-ism or Devin's The Dude and not being able to replace it gives me a cold chill...

mp3s ;)

i rip everything, bump the mp3s at work, or burn copies for the car.

cd's sit safely on a shelf from then on :)

Yeah, but I'm a traditionalist... need the official CD, crisp inlay... must be why I'm always broke :)

eh?  u can still be a traditionalist, what i meant was i rip my copies if i dont have rips already, and then they sit on the shelf at home safe+sound ;)

say i buy a cd during my lunch break here at work or soemthing comes mail order, i bring it to work, rip it onto my machine, cd goes back in the case, goes home with me, and goes on the shelf, from then on i play the mp3s :) if i want the mp3s at home i can upload them to my ftp (dsl at both ends) ;)

buying second copies of albums u already have is fukin expensive :o :o :o  i doubt i will ever do that

i dont have to buy a second copy or make no damn cd-r's either( damn that would take me forever), im just extra extra careful with all my cd's, all the ones i have bought new dont have a single scratch on them or they have a very very very minor scratch (very very small u can barely see) u gotta be careful thats all, then again theres people that let other people borrow them or put them into those sleeves or throw them around etc...... thats why cd's get fucked up, its on the owner not the cd ;D

True..but in this case its worth it...the dollar if i want to sell it will be high!
I made a business purchase...my own copy is for personal...and i take good care of my cs's cheers but if they get played on some systems they can get scratched by the player..ie i used to take some to work with me...i stopped when i noticed.
