american cars have speed, but seer made some good points, plus all american cars have not a lot of luxory, thats why i hate them old 72 chevys, yea they got 400 horsepower, but it feels like ur driving a lawnmower, id rather get like a lexus, and go slower, but chill in comfy seats and not feel every bump on the road

American cars tops the error-list in Norway.
They're not made for cold/wet/tough conditions, curvy roads and bumpy outland.
Chrysler is the worst of them apparently..

nothing a new pair shocks and struts can't fix, my homie has a 69' mach 1 and goes over bumps and holes probably better than my 96' mustang. and about luxery.....most american cars are made to be customized (outside of the mopars) there's no preset features becuase you can add your own shit later.....why do you think GM and Ford sell so well becuase they come off the line ready to fit your needs, toyota took note and their seeing big world wide sells because of that.

seer did make a good point about the difference in cars though......like japanese cars HAVE to be fuel  efficient because over there gas is like gold.....and your average european cars HAVE to take corners and stuff better because of your (not hating) weird ass roads [i was in italy and london a few years ago.....man shit tripped me out, don't drink and drive that's all i got to say) . Also most imported cars have less maintenance  cuz most of the world is car illiterate, so they have to last. In the u.s. you can go to a traylor park find the dumbest person in there who doesn't know how to read or write but they can rebuild any engine you throw at 'em for a 12 pack of Budweiser. American cars seem more unreliable to you europeans because over here in america we're more into our cars....we like to take care of our cars more, you can be almost anywhere in the us (excluding a desert forest orfarmland) and be at least within a 0.5 radias of some Tire shop , some lube shop, some brake shope, some full on blown out mechanic shop. so like seer pointed out really it's about where you're from which forms you taste for cars.

yeah the 'weird ass roads' is a historical thing.. america had the chance to plan it out when building... but our shit goes back 1000s years to old field boundaries n stuff.. and lately they're fuckin up completely normal roads by introducing traffic calming measures

finding a mechanic here isnt that hard.. for one I work next door to a VW dealership, nice and easy to get parts and have it serviced, when not keeping up the dealer service history theres a small independant guy just over the road i've taken my shit to before.. i can walk to at least 3 tire places that sell alloys within 10 mins.. so its not -that- bad over here, and i know theres a performance specialist hidden just a bit down the road from here... but its about knowing where u live i guess.. today had to walk 30 mins to work this morning from the alarm specialist coz i gotta get a CAT1 certificate before my insurance will cover me for theft, and they're the only one in town.

i guess the best american regular day sports car would have to be a corvette or a viper. I wouldnt go for anything less like a mustang.

But my dream car is the LAmbo Murcielago - nothing like it in the whole world of cars...u see it and u get blown away--even if ur ont a car fanatic

i am a fan of all cars...Im a fan of the big V8's and a fan of the really fast imports...The Supra Twin Turbo, 300ZX, RX-7 Touring Edition. I don't know how anyone can front about the speed of some imports. I've been in a 300ZX TT when it blew away my friends 93' Saleen. Those are probably the only reasonable imports that i would drive.Everyone knows they would take a Ferrari or a lambo in a heartbeat. But they aint reasonable..I don't like the ignorant ricer imports..They drive a stock civic with a fart cannon on it and think they can run 9's.
