I just received the very tragic news that one half of quite possibly the most successful tag team in the history of wrestling, Road Warrior Hawk (real name Mike Hegstrand) passed away at approximately 1:30 am early this morning.

Hegstrand had just sold his condo and was planning a big move to Tampa, Florida later today. According to various reports, his wife, Dale, said, "He was going to lay down for a while, he didn't feel well." She thought that he was just overly excited and tired from packing for the move.

The cause of death is currently unknown. We will bring you more details as they become available. Hegstrand was either 45 or 46.
