Kobe's Legacy
« on: May 13, 2002, 03:42:41 AM »
will he be Jr. Clutch?
will he always be looked as lil Jordan?
will he even be remembered at all?

The last two Laker's wins were basically thanx to Kobe. And Kobe made it happen in the 1st game. what his legacy be in the future? If gets more rings and more clutch games. where Kobe messed up, Lakers lost.

??? ??? ???

I don't know about that soccer player, but yeah Kobe has recently become jr. clutch.  While Shaq and the rest of the Lakers keep them in the game for about 40 minutes, Kobe just takes over the last quarter and finishes them off.
Whether people want to admit it or not, he does have a little bit of MJ in him. Heck even Greg Popovich said that he had the determination of MJ. During yesterday's game Kobe made an awesome move and one of the announcers said "Who does that remind you of ????" hinting MJ.
Kobe is not MJ though, but if he continues to play like this he will always be compared to him.

Kobe has said "I will be kobe and no one else will be Kobe" or something like that. Well basically I guess he knows that he wont be the next MJ he will be himself

Exactly... Kobe will go down as a legend no question about it... but the best ever, or the next Jordan... that wont be told until the next 5 years...

Peace

Yo homies......Kobe Bryant is 22, danmm!!!!
that stat is more mind boggling than anything else.....he's light years ahead of most player's already.

to compare a 22 year Jordan with Kobe, might seem lopsided aswell, because Jordan was not a team player back then.
and his shot didn't develope until after his flight was somewhat grounded after his knee injury.
And we all know if Bryant wanted to throw up every shot like Iverson he would easily lead the leauge in scoring...lol

I belive Bryant is on his way to make his own name....danmm!! he's only 22.

And he has a level head, not a fucc'n idiot like most NBA player's when it comes to attitude and speech.
(Most Player's make themself look stupid with their way of talk, even tho we all know the went to college, lol
what part of the game is that...lol)

Peace

I think Phil influenced Kobe alot in that aspect.  West couldnt control Kobe, Magic Johnson couldnt, Del Harris couldnt, till Phil Jackson got there. Phil made kobe mature, IMO

jordan also didnt have shaq on his team or Phil-J as his coach...

but anyways... Kobe is probably #3 in the league in clutch ... Jordan (he aint retired yet) and Reggie Miller (yeah thats right, Reggie Miller) are still ahead of him
