Article proving the war is about oil!! Trauma READ
« on: September 13, 2002, 11:13:04 PM »
This is a speach made by Farakkan at a recent convention.  I don't know how anyone can read this and still support America's foriegn policy.  But I bet Trauma can.  Because he's an ignorant ass piece of shit!!!!!!! Anyway, here's the article for those that have eyes!!!!  This is some real shit right here.

*********************************************

America has come to a crossroads.  You must understand that power is linked, in world politics, to oil.  And as the greatest industrial nation on the Earth, America has an insatiable appetite for oil.  When coal was the number one energy in the world, Great Britain ruled the world.  She had the greatest deposits of coal.  But when the power to move engines moved from coal to oil, England and America began vying for control of the places on this Earth that produce oil.

Who are the rogue states that America says she does not like, and let’s see how oil is connected here.  I want you to consider Libya in North Africa. This little desert country where most of the people live along the coast has the sweetest crude oil. There’s a song we sing: “From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.”  Where’s Tripoli?  “We will fight our country’s battles on the land and on the sea.”  What are you doing over here?  Did these people bother you?  No.  They have oil.  America had military bases here. For what?  Oil!  They had a king named Idriss and Muammar Gadhafi, as a young man in a bloodless coup, overthrew the king and then kicked the British out, the Americans out, and nationalized the oil.  Now he could raise the standard of living of all the Libyans, and with money left over he could aid the liberation struggle of people all over the world.  America got very upset with that.  “You’re messing with us, Gadhafi.  You’re a terrorist.”

Iraq has a lot of oil, and next door is Iran which has lots of oil.  In Iran, there was a man by the name of Mohammad Mossadegh and he nationalized the oil. He wanted to use the oil to raise the standard of living of the Iranian people.

What’s wrong with that? There’s nothing wrong with that to our eyes, but something was wrong with that to the eyes of the rich and the powerful. So they organized a coup and overthrew him and placed a man on the throne called the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. As that was their man in Iran, they gave him weapons, modern planes, but he was a Muslim, but he was not deep in the religion.  So under him, the religion suffered.  So the people that wanted their religion to come back to purity started organizing.  The leader of that was Imam Khomeini.

Look at a map of the Middle Eastern part of the world. In Saudi Arabia, there is a whole lot of oil. President (Franklin Delano) Roosevelt struck up a good relationship with the king, and Aramco (Corporation) had access to all this oil. The kings lived well, they did well for their people, but there was no democracy. America doesn’t care anything about that, just keep pumping the oil.

Every one of us has somebody in our family that is a victim of drugs. There’s something about a drug addict—if it’s your son, if it’s your daughter—they become artful liars. They can make up the fanciest stories just to get money to get to the drug. If you don’t give them the money, when you turn your back, your fur coat is gone. When you turn your back this is gone, that is gone. They become thieves and soon, if they get real bad, they become murderers.

America is an oil junkie. She doesn’t care how she gets it, she must have it.

Did you know that they found the largest deposit of oil anywhere in the world? Guess where they found it? In the southern Sudan. And what America is trying to do is foster the revolution to break off the southern Sudan from the Islamic regime in Khartoum so that America can have access to the oil. But they say it’s them Moslems killing Christians, making slaves out of these people in the South. America sent arms to Eritrea and Ethiopia and Uganda. So all along the border of Sudan, war was started with the Sudan. But something happened. Eritrea started using her weapons against Ethiopia, and vice versa. So (Eritrea and Ethiopia) couldn’t give the Sudan the trouble that America wanted.

You don’t know these things because you don’t travel. You don’t know these things because you’re not interested. You don’t know these things because foreign policy is not for the common American. And that we have to change. I believe that if the American people knew, foreign policy (would reflect) that which is better for the American people.

Let’s go to Nigeria. There’s some sweet oil here. Do you know what America tried to do? They tried to separate the eastern region and call it Biafra, which started a civil war in Nigeria, causing thousands upon thousands of lives to be lost because of American foreign policy. Let’s go back to Afghanistan. Do you see this place called Baku? Oil has been coming out of this area for years and years. But the Soviet Union had control of the oil in Kazakhstan, in Uzbekistan and in Tajikistan. All this area the Soviet Union had.

Have you ever heard of Zbignew Brezinski? Zbignew got us in trouble. He was the national security adviser under President Jimmy Carter. Guess what? Show me Afghanistan. Did you know that in the city of Kabul, some 20 years ago, the Muslims, women were in government, they were in school, they were in medicine. But something was wrong with Afghanistan. Do you know what was wrong? The government in Kabul leaned more toward the Soviet Union. They were Muslims but they had a socialist leaning that America didn’t like. So Zbignew Brezinski and American policy sent money into Afghanistan to destabilize the government in Kabul. When they brought up and paid for opposition to the government in Kabul, Russia, the Soviet Union, sent their troops into Afghanistan and the war began.

When the war started, Osama bin Laden was in Arabia growing up. He loves Islam, he loves Muslims, he sees the Soviet Union taking over Afghanistan and there’s war in Afghanistan to get the Soviet Union out, and America says, “We’re going to back those Muslim mujahideen.” So American money and American weapons trained them and they drove the Soviet Union out after ten years of war, which left Afghanistan in ruins. Then they looked to America to help them, but America backed out and left them in that condition and a civil war broke out in Afghanistan. The country is already in ruins, now a civil war. Then you have the Taliban that comes to power. And they want a pure Islamic state.

I read a book written by two Frenchman called, “Osama bin Laden: The Forbidden Truth.” And they said that early on in the Bush administration he was negotiating with the Taliban and he said [the Taliban] were a source of stability. Why was he negotiating? Let me tell you. All of this, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, this is oil. And guess what? A company called Unical owns 75 percent of the oil up here. And what they wanted was a pipeline to come down through Afghanistan into Pakistan into the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, as an outlet for the oil of that area. The Taliban didn’t agree.

Back in July, an American representative met with the Taliban, sometimes in the UN, sometimes right in Peshawar, in Pakistan. The representative said either you accept a carpet of gold or we will bury you under a carpet of bombs. This was in July. Then came September 11, and now it’s Osama bin Laden. The government didn’t know anything about any terrorists the day before. But on September 11, 12, and 13, they have 19 faces in the paper saying these are the guys. When did you learn that? How did you learn that? Something is wrong with this picture. Muslims and Arabs got all the blame and they went immediately to the Congress beating the drums of war.

Do you want to know why people in the world hate America? You don’t understand the dirt that goes on in your name. And that’s why the American people have to be awakened. Am I upsetting? I’m not trying to upset you. But now that they’ve destroyed the Taliban, Mr. Hamid Karzai, whom America set up, he now will get the carpet of gold and let’s see if that pipeline won’t come through Afghanistan. It’s all about oil and power.

"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

This article does show how ego centric and ambitious USA is when it comes to it's economy- a thing that is not new to anyone familiar with world politics and world economy...but u know, If those countrys were stable enough in the first place(not economiclly but in their leadership- if they were democratic for instanse)  they could have never been brought under these passive stunts, morally I can't justefy any calculated use of inocent people in no way, But what USA basiclly did was playing on the Temper and the inside power games of the locals- the thing they did was to exalorate whatever was happening under the surface.
We are all human beings isn't that a good enough reason for peace?

Japan was trying to work with the NOI before World War 2.  They promised the NOI land, etc, if Japan won the War.  If the NOI had been a little bit larger group they could have reformed the government from the inside with Japan's help.

Well, what I can say for sure is that he knowes what he's doing with this speach...if u read it, it may seem very logical, but what he does in actuallity is taking facts and aplying them to whatever he supports one way or another.

What has Bush ever done for the poor?

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020322-1.html

President Outlines U.S. Plan to Help World's Poor

9:35 A.M. (Local)

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. We meet at a moment of new hope and age-old struggle, the battle against world poverty. I'm honored to be with so many distinguished leaders who are committed to this cause. I'm here today to reaffirm the commitment of the United States to bring hope and opportunity to the world's poorest people, and to call for a new compact for development defined by greater accountability for rich and poor nations, alike.

I want to thank Vicente Fox, el Presidente de Mexico, and the people of Monterrey for such grand hospitality. I want to thank Kofi Annan for his steadfast leadership. And I want to thank the distinguished leaders who are here for your hospitality, as well.

Many here today have devoted their lives to the fight against global poverty, and you know the stakes. We fight against poverty because hope is an answer to terror. We fight against poverty because opportunity is a fundamental right to human dignity. We fight against poverty because faith requires it and conscience demands it. And we fight against poverty with a growing conviction that major progress is within our reach.

Yet, this progress will require change. For decades, the success of development aid was measured only in the resources spent, not the results achieved. Yet, pouring money into a failed status quo does little to help the poor, and can actually delay the progress of reform. We must accept a higher, more difficult, more promising call. Developed nations have a duty not only to share our wealth, but also to encourage sources that produce wealth: economic freedom, political liberty, the rule of law and human rights.

The lesson of our time is clear: When nations close their markets and opportunity is horded by a privileged few, no amount -- no amount -- of development aid is ever enough. When nations respect their people, open markets, invest in better health and education, every dollar of aid, every dollar of trade revenue and domestic capital is used more effectively.

We must tie greater aid to political and legal and economic reforms. And by insisting on reform, we do the work of compassion. The United States will lead by example. I have proposed a 50-percent increase in our core development assistance over the next three budget years. Eventually, this will mean a $5-billion annual increase over current levels.

These new funds will go into a new Millennium Challenge Account, devoted to projects in nations that govern justly, invest in their people and encourage economic freedom. We will promote development from the bottom up, helping citizens find the tools and training and technologies to seize the opportunities of the global economy.

I've asked Secretary of State Powell, Secretary of Treasury O'Neill to reach out to the world community to develop clear and concrete objective criterion for the Millennium Challenge Account. We'll apply these criterion fairly and rigorously.

And to jump-start this initiative, I'll work with the United States Congress to make resources available over the 12 months for qualifying countries. Many developing nations are already working hard on the road -- and they're on the road of reform and bringing benefits to their people. The new Compact for Development will reward these nations and encourage others to follow their example.

The goal of our development aid will be for nations to grow and prosper beyond the need for any aid. When nations adopt reforms, each dollar of aid attracts two dollars of private investments. When aid is linked to good policy, four times as many people are lifted out of poverty compared to old aid practices.

All of us here must focus on real benefits to the poor, instead of debating arbitrary levels of inputs from the rich. We should invest in better health and build on our efforts to fight AIDS, which threatens to undermine whole societies. We should give more of our aid in the form of grants, rather than loans that can never be repaid.

The work of development is much broader than development aid. The vast majority of financing for development comes not from aid, but from trade and domestic capital and foreign investment. Developing countries receive approximately $50 billion every year in aid. That is compared to foreign investment of almost $200 billion in annual earnings from exports of $2.4 trillion. So, to be serious about fighting poverty, we must be serious about expanding trade.

Trade helped nations as diverse as South Korea and Chile and China to replace despair with opportunity for millions of their citizens. Trade brings new technology, new ideas and new habits, and trade brings expectations of freedom. And greater access to the markets of wealthy countries has a direct and immediate impact on the economies of developing nations.

As one example, in a single year, the African Growth and Opportunity Act has increased African exports to the United States by more than 1,000 percent, generated nearly $1 billion in investment, and created thousands of jobs.

Yet we have much more to do. Developing nations need greater access to markets of wealthy nations. And we must bring down the high trade barriers between developing nations, themselves. The global trade negotiations launched in Doha confront these challenges.

The success of these negotiations will bring greater prosperity to rich and middle-income and poor nations alike. By one estimate, a new global trade pact could lift 300 million lives out of poverty. When trade advances, there's no question but the fact that poverty retreats.

The task of development is urgent and difficult, yet the way is clear. As we plan and act, we must remember the true source of economic progress is the creativity of human beings. Nations' most vital natural resources are found in the minds and skills and enterprise of their citizens. The greatness of a society is achieved by unleashing the greatness of its people. The poor of the world need resources to meet their needs, and like all people, they deserve institutions that encourage their dreams.

All people deserve governments instituted by their own consent; legal systems that spread opportunity, instead of protecting the narrow interests of a few; and the economic systems that respect their ambition and reward efforts of the people. Liberty and law and opportunity are the conditions for development, and they are the common hopes of mankind.

The spirit of enterprise is not limited by geography or religion or history. Men and women were made for freedom, and prosperity comes as freedom triumphs. And that is why the United States of America is leading the fight for freedom from terror.

We thank our friends and neighbors throughout the world for helping in this great cause. History has called us to a titanic struggle, whose stakes could not be higher because we're fighting for freedom, itself. We're pursuing great and worthy goals to make the world safer, and as we do, to make it better. We will challenge the poverty and hopelessness and lack of education and failed governments that too often allow conditions that terrorists can seize and try to turn to their advantage.

Our new approach for development places responsibility on developing nations and on all nations. We must build the institutions of freedom, not subsidize the failures of the past. We must do more than just feel good about what we are doing, we must do good. By taking the side of liberty and good government, we will liberate millions from poverty's prison. We'll help defeat despair and resentment. We'll draw whole nations into an expanding circle of opportunity and enterprise. We'll gain true partners in development and add a hopeful new chapter to the history of our times.

May God bless you all. (Applause.)

END 9:48 A.M. (Local)

It's called polotics.  Ofcourse Bush will say he's going to rid the world of poverty, rid the world of the evil doers, rid the world of crime and drugs.  That's what every polotician has said for years, and that shit is still here.

It's called polotics.  Ofcourse Bush will say he's going to rid the world of poverty, rid the world of the evil doers, rid the world of crime and drugs.  That's what every polotician has said for years, and that shit is still here.
