yup

I like every song actually except "Change Clothes"...it's pretty dope, no filler material, dope productions and a great way to end a career IMO. Maybe not the album of the year, but one of the best prolly

Black album = 2.5/5

This album is overrated just like everything Jay-Z has done his whole career. Even the DJ Quik produced track sucked, and I like 99% of the material that Quik has put out.

This album is weak but then again I'm not surprised.

2/5

I first heard it, and it sucked to me, but as I listen, it's growing on m. Reminds me of Nas's God's Son album, as it doesn't seem like a classic from an outsiders stand point, but from the artist, you can tell they are saying everything they've always wanted too.

from Moment of Clarity
"If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be
lyrically, Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did five mill' - I ain't been rhymin like Common since"...
"Since I know what I'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most impor-tant
And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win/win"

What More Can I Say
"Add that to the fact I went plat' a bunch of times
Times that by my influence on pop culture
I'm supposed to be number one on everybody list
We'll see what happens when I no longer exist
Fuck this!"

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO close to calling this album a classic.  It's banger after banger.  I still need some more listens, but Jigga man is coming close to 2PAc, Ice Cube, and Tribe Called Quest in having three albums that could be argued to be classics.

IMO Jay has no classics but RD is close.
