my mental gets to wondering listening to the moment of truth
at twenty-one maybe it's time i start approaching the youth
not saying i'm old, but life is fucked up when growing up
certain days you feel like quitting, wishing you had someone to hold and hug
crying all alone, but refuse to let a person see you shed tears
feeling backstabbed by life and reminissing over dead peers
and when you've falling that deep and mention all the above
i get to wondering, how could some compare a dollar to love
therefor your presented with a thousand pound weight on your back
you still don't complain although it seems you've been handed a plate full of scraps
wishing someone could relate to you, but scared to mention it
now that weight has shifted to your chest and arms and your benching it
it isn't fair to me, or the people around me
all these sudden mood changes, one minute we close and now we
attacking eachother at the throat
but i've figured how to change that, all i really needed to do was to cope
