Here's something I saw on a documentary concerning to end of the world (here's what I can remember):

Our galaxy, the Milky Way, and the closest galaxy to us, Andromeda are slowly moving toward each other a about 4000 Kilometers per year (due to the Supermassive black holes at the centre of each galaxy). When they do eventually collide (not for about 3 billion years)  the Earth would either:

1. Be thrown into deep space and become too cold to support life

2. Be pulled into one of the black holes.

Thank u for bringin a real perspective to this shit lol. Itz about time sumbody did!  ;D

But for real, i agree with a few people on here. Humans pretty much have no way of knowing when the end of the world is. the Bible for damn sure doesnt know since a BOOK wouldnt have the key to the future of the universe in it lol. And when we say the end of the world, we should be saying "the end of Human life". The Earth isnt going anywhere in my eyes. Its survived far worse then anything we could EVER do to it. Colliding with a meteor, or another solar system...well...who knows what would happen in that case. But i dont think the Earth would be completely destoyed...only destroyed to the level that WE could not survive. Regardless, NONE of us will see the end of the world. None of our grandchildren, great grandchildren, or great great great grandchildren will. And i would honestly avoid anybody who thinks they can tell u when tha end of tha world is coming...cus they prolly about to shoot up a McDonalds soon or sumthin lol.

na man, the bible does hold the key to the future, i can tell by reading your stuff you are not christian. christians belive that the world we are living in now will end when jesus comes back and rounds up all his children in the rapture. those who do not belive, will be stuck here for the worst happeings ever to occur on earth. it will be run by the anaichrist aka the devil himself. and everyone will evntually die and jesus again will come back and it will be heaven on earth. and tone, you may not belive the way i do, but WE all will see the end of the world. we are basically in the end times. the bible predicted all the stuff that is occuring at this time. there are some profeicies left to be fullfilled, and when they are, jesus will return................

See... that doesn't make sense to me....

First off... God is supposed to be all knowing. He knows what's gonna happen in tha future... Why would he create us all, just to destroy us in the end? That doesn't make sense.

God gave us the gift of Self Determination... that means we make our own decisions... but tha way you're explaining shit.. if we dont do a certain thing, we're gonna burn in hell with tha anti-christ.

It goes all tha way back to Adam and Eve. God put them in tha Garden of Eden and told them not to eat that forbidden fruit.. but disobeyed him and ate it. He punished them.. you know tha story. But What I dont get is why put them there in tha first place? If he is all knowing, he should have known they were gonna eat tha fruit,no matter what he told them to do.

Now, God created all of us. There's millions of people in tha universe. To get to heaven, we are expected to obey tha religion and obide by it to get there. Only maybe 1 in a million of us meet tha qualifications to get to heaven.

It's like, making 100 wooden figures, You know only 1 of those figures is gonna be useful. So why create tha other 99 figures in tha first place? It doesn't make sense.

I'm rambling on but still. God should have forseen all of his people becoming sinners. He should have forseen himself having to destroy us at tha end. Why would he make us? What kind of God is that? If that wasn't his intension.. then he made a Mistake... I dont know about you, but my God dont make mistakes.

Nah, you have 100% perfectly, sane valid, STRONG arguments against religion.  Before I joined up (lol) I had the same feelings, don't ever feel bad or like you're wrong or anything for thinking the way you do.

Tommorow, when I have more time, I'll type up my church's answers to all that stuff, but it might not be enough for you to change your mind or nothin, but I'll at least share with ya.  Peace~

the bible only holds the key to the future u hope will happen. u hope that u have followed enough of the "rules" to make it to the "good side" in the end. If u have, u hope that the end will actually be what is in the bible. Dont speak so much as if yur beliefs are truths. They are beliefs. Just as mine are. What happens in "the end" (assuming there is one) is not known, or even possible to be known by any person on Earth. Therefore...whatever we THINK will happen, is ONLY a theory and not a fact. The Bible doesnt make something a fact. If i had a bunch of fortune cookies here and i BELIEVED what they all said, that doesnt make it fact. And for sure wouldnt make it fact in someone elses eyes who didnt believe as i did.

O.K., here's my 'short version', LOL.

God was chillin' in the preexistance, before the world or anything existed.  He had tons of children he had created, but we were all spirits.  Two of them were Jesus, and Satan.  After a while, God came to the conclusion, that we all were forced to love him, and weren't free, we were forced, because we knew 100% that he was true, and we knew his power; so we couldn't hate him, or choose to not live with him, because we knew the consequences; he was all powerful, so how can you 'not' like someone all powerful? God wanted us, as his children, to grow, and learn, and we could no longer learn under his authoritarian rule... because we weren't free.

So, he presents this problem, and says that he will send us away (if we choose), and where we're going, we'll be away from him... but we'll have the choice to follow him, or not.  So, we'll be free, and therefore, able to grow.  As a reward, he'll give us a physical body for the trip.  In the end, we'll come back to him, and if we choose him on this place, and had a good heart, we would be rewarded with a higher glory; we would progress, and have a body that was perfect, forever.  If we had a bad heart, we would be cast away from his presence forever.

There was a problem, though, God is fair to the infinite power, and it wouldn't be fair to let a person who was less than perfect, back into his kingdom, since everything there was perfect and clean.  He knew on earth, away from his presence, we would sin without END, so, he had to think of a way for us to be forgiven for our sins, and be punished for them, in all fairness, because God is a fair God.  Therefore, he would have to have a physical son, half god, half human, to come to earth, and be punished for all mankinds sins.  The reason he had to be his physical son is because no other would be strong enough to be punished infinitely, at 1 time, for everyone's sins, that would ever be committed.

Satan came to him, and said "I will do it, father, and not 1 soul will be lost.  I will save all, and when I return, my glory shall be great".....

Jesus came to him, and said "I will do it, father, and many souls will be lost.  When I return, the glory shall be yours"

So, God choose Jesus's plan, to come to earth, and be sacrificed for the world's sins, thereby paying our debt of sin, so we may all be allowed back into heaven.

1/3rd of heaven decided to make the trip to earth.  All of us did.  Another third stayed behind in heaven, content to not grow any greater, and yet another third choose to follow Satan's plan, and now reside with him, in the absence of our heavenly Father.

So, everyone on earth, has choose to make this trip.  Adam/Eve, Etc. was all in the plan from the beginning, the lord knew Satan would tempt them, etc. Because he is all knowing.  Without Adam's Transgression, birth would be impossible, since at the time, death wasn't on the earth, and they would have lived forever.

So, when you die, you'll return back to your heavenly father; Jesus will tell him everything you've done, because He was punished for all of it! He knows exactly what you've done in your life, and what you've felt, and he knows your heart.  While god could just peer down and know exactly what you've done, Jesus has a true testimony of what you've done, because he's FELT it, and been punished for it.  Jesus will plead your case to the father, and most will probably be saved.

There are three distinct kingdoms of heaven, each with levels.  The highest is the Celestial; It is where you basically can go on to grow as great as god is now, eventually (although that will never happen, as God by then will have progressed to be even greater).  There is also the Telestial, and Terrestial kingdoms, the least of these is so great that if we could catch 1 glimse of it, we would all kill ourselves to get back to that beauty, and away from the evil of the world.

God is very lenient, even those who don't know him, and have sinned a lot will be saved, and sent to glory in heaven.  Even people that commit suicide make it into heaven, into one of the lesser kindgoms!  Why? Because we're all his children, he loves us very much, it would break his heart to punish us eternally, it would really take a lot for us to be cast into hell.

I'll put it this way: The only 2 people that we KNOW are in hell, are Satan and Cain.  They're a pretty safe bet.  The rest of the people you really can't tell, because we on earth aren't to judge, we don't know god's plan, and basically, it's none of our business.  Hitler, Napoleon, Jeffrey Dahmer, who knows, you know? I'm just glad that isn't my decision, to decide anyone's eternal fate.

So, in other words, for those that choose to follow god's word to the end (Ghandi, Moses, Muhammad, Jesus, Siddartha Guatama, Abraham, Confucious, etc.) the Celestial Kingdom awaits.  For those of us who aren't quite as strong to live our life perfectly (lol) will go onto maybe the Telestial kingdom, and those of us who never went to church, didn't really believe, but had good hearts regardless might go on to the Terrestial Kingdom, or something... all 3 are heaven! What's the big dissapointment, you know? LOL I mean, heaven is greater than we can even imagine on earth, and some of the WORST of us will make it there, because of the infinite atonement of christ! That's why Christ deserves to be regarded as 'the man', because he is.  He really, really did a huge favor for the world, he saved billions of people... without his atonement, nobody would make it back to heaven, nobody has lived a perfectly righteous life.  Even the great Moses sinned.  So just do your best, and we'll all see each other in Heaven, I don't see any Cain's on this board.  Peace~

Disclaimer: These aren't traditional christian views, just the general view of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, although I can't speak for them as a whole, lol.  Just my interpretation of what i've been taught.

but:that would be like jesus punishing us for not believeing in him, and also, if its all led by the devil himself, then how can jesus be sure he will get here in time beacuse if there is a devil, we all know he's be a reet arse hole and end it all now to stop jesus from saving us. or why doesn't jesus return now to make sure he can save us?

secondly: the stuff predicted in the bible was obvious to happen. its like me saying in a 1000 years time we will still have diseases. like the bible sed there will be uncurable diseases accordin to sum1 who i talked to, i know there will still b disease.

there will be war cos of mans misfortune, thats sumthin i learned off a religious dinner lady at school. that is what she sed was predicted in the bible. i know there will be still be weaponary, war and killing of the innocent in 2000 years time, it's obvious. there was war then, and still is now, and i know there will be in the future.

i bet when the telephone was invented, the inventer would have known that in time his invention wuld go more advanced, cos it's obvious like that cos inventions always get taken to another level, it would have been obvious to him. so if he wrote in his diary about what could become of the telephone eg. instant calls abroad then on the next page of his diary he wrote 'the sun will turn into a red giant in 1000 years' would u think that since what he put about the telephone was tru and is what is occuring already eg. the internet and mobile phones, that his theory about the sun would come tru?

i thought not, so what makes u so suyr that just cos some of the obvious things predicted in the bible have come tru that everything else predicted eg. the end of the world will come tru? just think about that, it won't change ur mind but u have to see my point in this
