what the fuck was mc ren thinking trying to produce shit?  shit reminds me of how ice cube tried to get into producing and most of his beats came out wack.

I disagree with that, I think Cube produced some amazing beats back in the day.

Back on topic, I'd like to have this album. CPO is a dope rapper.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

he did bring some heat on kausion's album.  fa sho & chocolate chips were hot too.  on the other hand, i remember thinking 24 with an l was pretty wack, the world is mine was pretty wack, and he never really produced anything for his own albums.  only for his groups and artists he was putting out.  i remember being amused by that.  he is definitely a better producer than ren.
