What Black Militants Were Saying In Late 1800

What Bishop Turner, "the Malcolm X of the late 1800's" was saying after slaves aquired their freedom through the emancipation proclamation.

"The negro race was brought to this country by the sanction of heaven to be civilized and Christianized by this giant white race, at present the dominant race in the world; as soon as that was done his business was to return to Africa, and begin teh work of civilizing his kindred, and this nation should assist him, and there will be no peace either to the Negro or to the nation until that is consummated....I see no other theater but Africa where the Negro can work out his own destiny and attain to honorable distinction."

When u oppress a people long enough, they adopt the views of their oppressor. Hes saying that whites brought Africans to America, in order to "civilize" them, so that they may go back to Africa and civilize theyre people. Damn, wasnt that nice of the slave owners to be so concerned about the devlopement of African civilization? (sarcasm). There were civilazations in Africa FAR before any European Slave owners came to "civilize" them...and far before European civilization itself.
