Does anyone else think Kanye is a dope MC?

Damn when he said shit like

I always had a P.H.D., a pretty huge dick...

&

Mayonnaise Colored Benz, I push Miracle Whips....

&

The doctor said I had blood clots, but I aint Jamaican man...

Iwas like   :o :o :o

Plus theres tons of other sick rhymes on that album....I never had any idea Kanye was so dope on the mic.  And his flow is really on point, I think he flows better than alot of other rappers.

It's a hot record no doubt, but I think there are too many skits, plus some of the beats on the album are average. Still better than 95% of the crap out now, though.

Represent - got to give you props - agree with your every word.

This album has got so many high points, from samples to hooks to flows, lines and concepts...

... the soulful horns that just creep in on the chorus of 'We Don't Care'... the whole concept of 'All Falls Down'... The hook on 'Spaceship'... Kanye's verse on 'Never Let Me Down'... the bit on 'Get Em High' where he's on the phone with Kweli and that girl... Bosko tearing the shit out of 'New Workout Plan' on the talk box... the honesty of 'Through The Wire'... and 'Family Business', which is so good the shit gave me goosebumps when I heard it for the first time.

Never expected the album to sound like this... only track I'd heard was 'Slow Jamz', and I copped this CD really just 'cause I loved the beats he'd done for Jay... I thought he'd be just another Roc rapper that couldn't hold a torch to Hov, but dude's done his own thing so well it blew me away.

Oh yeah, and let me say this (and it's only an opinion, but I really believe it):

College Dropout is better than The Black Album. By a l-o-o-o-ng way.

No offense meant towards anyone, but I wish people would stop calling things classics after first listen or a day or a week or a month. You really shouldn't even think about using that term until at least a year after the cd drops, since longevity is a huge factor in defining something as 'classic'.

It's easy to do, since a lot of songs and albums do just hit you like ugh when u first hear them. But so many songs just don't have lasting appeal in this quick-buck industry, so you really have to give it some time imo. Does anyone still think Obie Trice and G-Unit's cds are classics? I would hope not.

I haven't heard the Kanye album yet, wasn't really planning to, but I guess I'll give it a listen if everyone thinks its so good. Or is this just the Hype I was always told not to believe?

Should have this in the mail in the morning. I'm expecting a 8/8.5 out of 10 album, don't think it will go down as a classic, but it will be a real dope album for sure.

And Kaidy, I don't think anybody though the G-Unit and Obie albums were classics even when they were first released.

Ok. Makes you wonder how much hiphop people have heard really if they ever thought those two were classics.

What's so good about that line?
And doesn't everyone have to show their membership ID card to get into Sam's Club?

Herb Quote Of The Year[/u]

CalebOhio: I think i can speak for many others when i say my favorite rap artists are white but i still want black artists to be dope. they are chosing not to be. that wouldn't be a likely believe held in a white supremacist group. I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.
