Jay Z to form new label?
« on: March 01, 2004, 06:18:17 PM »
www.worldwideconnected.com

StreetHop.com has been told by a reliable source that Jay Z will leave the Roc-A-Fella family and start a new label under the Warner Brothers music division.

Apparently Jay Z and Roc-A-Fella Co-CEO Dame Dash have had a falling out, and only communicate through their lawyers.

What is even more interesting for fans is that the new deal would see Jay Z, who said he would retire after The Black Album, release at least one more album under his real name, Sean Carter.

Yea I thought I heard something about this awhile back too.  That would be crazy, and maybe a smart move for Jay.

HOv should kick Dame the fuccc out of there and keep his label that he built with his own blood and sweat. 8 years of hard work just so he could start over? fuck that

Not quite sure if the Black Album was the best note for him to go out on anyway...

But yeah, I've read at least 3 articles where he brought up the whole "Michael Jordan" thing...
Some say that if you play a Microsoft CD backwards, it plays satanic messages. That's nothing... if you play it forwards, it installs Windows.

oh and by the way, I wasn't being racist, I was being prejudice.  I hate dumb people.  Dumb is not a race you fuckin moron.

That would be some bullshit... First leave the label he helped to build from the ground up and then bust a Jordan too? Man, somebody's talkin' shit.

i dunnol, i doubt he'll do that, like pr1mo said he got rocawear and everything too and he is Roc-A-Fella much more than muhfuckin Damon Dash. But if he founds another label i'ma support that, the ROC ain't really a great label without jay puttin out shit on it anyways. But I don't want him to bust a jordan, it'd be kinda hypocritical and i think the black album was a great way to end his MC'in career

a hiphop website (forget the name, remember reading it) put in a call to Warner music divison & asked them a few weeks ago to get told that this was just a rumor
