i havent heard it in awhile but as i remember 8 or 10 years ago En Vogue's "EV3" album was pretty dope too.

this is pretty new, but i know this going to be a favorite..

goapele - even closer

this album outsold 50's get rich or die tryin in the bay, so give it a listen.
her song also appeared on the Honey soundtrack ,and was played i think in one of the very main scenes of the movie, and also appeared in CSI Miami. shes opened up for the roots, and talib kweli, common and all them..
her album features zion i and pep love.
her backup vocalist is latoya london, if youre up on that american idol shit.

erykah - her first cd. forgot what its called.  baduizm, jaguar wright - denials, delusions... she sings on the roots - what you want
