QUESTION: Tash's "Fallin' On" and "Next Episode"
« on: April 13, 2002, 04:23:09 AM »
Yo I was just wonderin. Those tracks sound just the same, but I doubt Tash sampled it off Dre and both albums were released the same month.

And this dude was tellin me that half of Dre's 2001 album was all sampled (like The Message and Xxplosive) and so was bad intentions. Anybody know anything about that?

"Next Episode", and "Fallin On" Both Sampled David McAllum's "The Edge". So did Missin Linx's "M.I.A."

"Xxplosive" Sampled Isaac Hayes' "Bumpy's Lament"

"Forgot About Dre" sampled No Doubt's "The Climb"

"Let's Get High" sampled Fatback's "Backstrokin"

"Muder Inc" sampled the Halloween Theme

On most of these, Dre didn't really sample, he just took the tune (or melody) of the song and changed wich instruments are used.
