In the March 11 attacks, 10 bombs ripped through four commuter trains during the Thursday morning rush hour, killing 191 people in the country’s worst terrorist attack.

Over the past four weeks, more than 1,800 people were treated for injuries in 15 hospitals in and around Madrid.

These are acts of terrorism in their purest forms...and while they are acts of cowardice, it's even worse to see governments give in to thier demands.

if this was a "black and white war"...with two cleary distinct sides.... would Spain have given up so easily if it had taken a loss? Very doubtful. but this isn't the case, and only countries that actualy have the determination to see this through to the end will stay fight. it's pretty sad to see a country give in to the very thing they were fighting against

^ Exactly.  If you allow terrorism to 'work', you're giving yourself into the whim of anyone who disagrees with anything the country does.

There's an old adage that goes

You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.
