thing is... you say he should have.. but without seeing the books ya can't really know can you? what if there wasn't that much money to go round? what if tray deee was just shit talkin?

doesn't matter how much money was to go around.  again, this is a business.  Tray Deee put in hella work, he did 2 full albums as part of the group, and the first one went platinum, and the second gold,(I think).  its snoop's business and he decided to put the albums out.  Tray deee is his employee, and he did his work, he needs to get paid for it no matter what.  If you work for your boss, but his business didn't make any money for the month, would you be happy that even though u did the same amount of work as all other months, but got paid less this month, cause your boss didn't make enuff money?  Now I'm sure there was contracts involved, and I'm sure Tray Deee being a eager artists wanting to make it big, just signed whatever, and like pretty much every westcoast rapper, got screwed in the contract.  So in retrospect, I'm sure that tray deee got what he deserved contract wise.  but most decent human beings would probably pay him better because he put in a lot of work and deserves a lil more pay for what he did.  That is why he is mad imo.

you dont make sense.

so tray deee should get more money, because he thinks he deserves. regardless of whether the albums actually brought in enough to cover his, snoops and goldies shares, plus expenses..

say you are an employee at a gas station.  You worked for 200 hours for the month.  yet after paying the bills for rent, electricity, advertising, cost of goods sold, etc, the business ended up not making any  profit for the month, but actualy had a loss.  so then the boss says to the employee "well, we never made any profit this month, so I am only going to pay you for 100 hours."  You can't do this, the boss has to pay the employee for the full amount of work that they did.

in this case, snoop dogg is the gas station owner, and tray deee is the employee.  total album sales for both albums combined is well over 1 million.  so lets just say that after paying all expenses the profit that they got was $1 per album sold (this is low, I am sure they made more than that)  so that is a million dollars profit.  split that 3 ways, that is $333,333 each.  tray deee claims he only got 100 gz.  and like I said, my figures are low.  If tray deee really only got paid 100 gz for both albums, how can you not say he got screwed?

I feel what you're saying Hector Dragoncox, but remember, The eastsidaz albums was released under TVT Records and they was probably, not that I know the contract details for the ES albums, but like other record labels, who have a sub-label(Doggystyle Records in this case) would take a lot of the income from the sub-label. It's natural. They're in charge of the distribution and has a lot of employees THEY got to feed too. Now, if Doggystyle had released the album all by themselves, 100 % independently, 100 Gz, wouldn't be nothing(if they did sell the same amount that is). Imagine, if they sold 1'200'000 copies of they albums they would probably sit with around 10-15 millions in profit and THEN it woulda been weird. But Steve Gottlieb over at TVT is not exactly known for offering his artists good deals on their behalf, he's, as everyone else, interested in making as much $$ as possible.

But of course Snoop got payed more, he was the headliner and responsible for the musical part of the project.

well we dunno if tray deee or goldie had solo deals or not, assume not.

e-white would be better off doing what soopafly did, put out an underground album with daz and keep the dogghouse connection.. seems too late for that now though..
yea but soopafly got no money for that he said he gave it to daz, plus soopafly is a producer too so u know hes getting paid

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

he's got a point....artists don't get a salary they get a percentage, so the less they sell the less they make... although $100,000 for 1,500,000 cd's sold around $15 a piece does sound a little fishy

If you ask me,Snoop should never have signed E-White....or other unpushable artists for that matter. He should be just cool with them and work with them like he does with the artists on for example DPG Records. In fact,DPG Records seems like a good place for all of them.It might be independent and small-scale but at least Daz puts out albums. But hadn't E-White signed with Daz allready?

I hope the two are still cool together, wich could be the case of course.

Bottom line Snoop is an overrated business man. He focus's on himself way too much, sits back waits for phone calls from MTV for him to do a show, or for a business partner making Snoop clothing line, or for a Cadillac Snoop De ville & all these promotional things that make him alot of money, but its not like he puttin in the work he just sits back & waits for the call.

& then he just totally forgets that he owns Doggystyle Records & has artists to produce & feed.

Snoop is not a compitant business owner IMO, he is just a face MTV Caddilac & which other companys to help make money

Snoop Is a Fool for this he had all the mutherfucking chances to promote his artists...like the homie P Scrilla said he needs someone's to help him with his artists,Now all he does is promoting himself and Im sure that He Will use the 213 album to create a Buzz for Snoopafly. DoggyStyle are with Geffen if im not mistaking so there could have been alot of promotions moves like , Including Soopafly or anyone else on Some Geffen Artists shit (Like Avant & Mary J blige) Its seems like Only LaToiya is doing her thing by doing hooks for Talib Kweli, Jay Z and Anthony Hamilton ...even that is not enough to make her blow up....If Snoop Dogg is really Smart  he will release another single for 213 with LaToiya or someone else on the hook, thats good promotion (remember why Baby If You're Ready was such a Hit) plus he needs someone's to make him realize that he makes bad choices..if he keeps acting like this only Him and Delano will be the DoggyStyle Artist

Oh and Since Im Sure Snoop Dogg will Read This

STOP BEING SELFISH AND PUT SOME GOOD MUSIC OUT TRY TO RELEASE THE RIGHT SINGLE AND TRY TO PUSH UR ARTISTS LIKE YOUR PUSHING YOURSELF, RELEASE THAT MUTHAFUCKING 213 AND ATLEAST LET WARREN G PRODUCE ON IT CUZ WE ALL KNOW RAPPING IS NOT HIS BEST SHIT , AND MAN PUSH LATOIYA WILLIAMS CUZ SHE FUCKING TALENTED SHE WILL SAVE YOUR LABEL (PLEEZBALEEVIT) ALSO SOOPAFLY MAN THE GUY IS WAITING SINCE 94 PUT IS SHIT OUT MAN WHO KNOWS THERE COULD BE A HIT MAN SINCE HE'S FUNKY AND WEIRD HE COULD BE ON TOP....GET UR SHIT RIGHT SNOOPY

no kidding.  thats why I posted what is called an analogy.  either way I can't see how you think $100,000 pay for the 2 eastsidaz albums is fair.

preach overseer, preach. artists hardley ever make any real chips from thier album. they rely on shows guest appearances etc. the money for the eastsidaz album had to get split up 3 ways  and as much as WE love the eastsidaz those albums did'nt push THAT many units. and actually 1 dollar per album sold is'nt that bad for a non independant release. no one takes into account who's responsible for paying some of the guest producers for thier work and the  guest artists on the record(duces and treys escpecially). all this makes a difference in the end as far as how much an artist recieves(or in tray dees case, doesnt recieve).

how come DoggyStyle aint known like Cash Money Or Roc-A-Fella , how come there is only one platinum plaques on DoggyStyle when there could have been more than that..(dont count the snoops solo's) how come we dont see Snoops artists on mixtapes other than welcome to the chuuch , how come its been 4 years since the last release by an doggystyle artist/group when there is some good talents out there that wanna drop sum shit , how come Snoop is  always promoting Himself when his artists are waiting to shine...How come Snoop wanna use Neptunes when he got a great Production team ....Why The fuck he didnt sign Bad Azz and try to Push him , this dude is the futur of the West Coast....Why The fuck is he doing Pimp bullshit songs ....why the Fuck we dont hear no good collabo between DoggyStyle and Other crew...why the fuck he has to claim CRIp in every song....Why the Fuck he Didnt Keep Cola of Tha Angels as a solo artist

I could go on and on and on ...Snoop is a fool selfish muthafucka..dont get me wrong Im a big snoop fan but he needs to realize that he's a wack CEO and im tired of him putting out wack music and not letting his artists shine
