some things you guys don't understand.  Snoop owns a business, doggystyle records.  If he wants to put out an artist then he has to invest in them, financially wise and time wise.  E-white ain't gonna sell shit.  anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron.  ain't no westcoast artists sellin these days besides snoop, dre, and xzibit.  Snoop ain't gonna be makin nothin off a ewhite album dropping and neither is anyone else involved in the label.  People on this forum, other forums, and even ewhite himself, are acting like snoop is stupid and being fucked up.  If you were rich and someone came up to you asking you for at least a million dollars, to fund a startup business of theirs, which you obviously know would fail, would you fund that business?  Anyone who is smart wouldn't.  Plus peeps gotta understand, its business, don't take that shit personal.  Ya can't mix personal and business, 98% of the time shit won't work out.  but then you might say, well snoop is already rich as fuck, what is it really gonna matter to him if he don't make any money off the shit, to help out his homie and get a record out?  Well, that is one of the many reasons I consider snoop a sellout.  though I can't blame him, cuase like I said, ain't no way ewhite is gonna sell.  I wouldn't invest in ewhite either.

Man, it don't matter where you're from. If you made a good and the right kind of product and marketed it real good, it would sell. Although you really can't wait E-White to drop anything else but some gangsta shit, and you know that ain't gonna sell.

That's what's the most fucked up thing in the industry right now. Hip-Hop should be all about keepin' it real. The West does that - they do exactly what they do best, be it gangsta shit or g-funk or anything else an artist might do - but the mainstream don't want that. They want poppy shit, and the West won't deliver.

yeah ewhite is lame.  he come on fuckin rap forums talking this shit.  handle your business dude, what the fuck is complaining about it on the internet gonna do?  Ain't none of the internet posters gonna do anything for him (except for the hardcore dpg dickryders who would suck his dick if given the opportunity.)

I can understand why Kokane and Tray Deee are pissed.  Kokane has appeared on so many songs with snoop, and basically did half of last meal.  and tray deee put out 2 albums as part of a group.  E-white?  what the fuck has he done?  if it weren't for snoop, ain't nobody even knowing who the fuck ewhite is.  Guarantee if E-white just came out on his own, with no dpg affiliation at all, 90% of the E-white fans on here wouldn't be a fan of him.  You guys wouldn't even give him a chance.  And shit, LOL at him talkin bout leaving doggystyle.  where the fuck is he gonna go?  ain't no other major label gonna sign him.  He will probably end up at dpg records.

well we dunno if tray deee or goldie had solo deals or not, assume not.

e-white would be better off doing what soopafly did, put out an underground album with daz and keep the dogghouse connection.. seems too late for that now though..

naw tray deee was mad cause he felt he didn't get paid enuff for tha eastsidaz albums.  he said he got paid 100 gz and a chain.  if this is true, I agree, he should have been paid more, and I would be pissed too.

doesn't matter how much money was to go around.  again, this is a business.  Tray Deee put in hella work, he did 2 full albums as part of the group, and the first one went platinum, and the second gold,(I think).  its snoop's business and he decided to put the albums out.  Tray deee is his employee, and he did his work, he needs to get paid for it no matter what.  If you work for your boss, but his business didn't make any money for the month, would you be happy that even though u did the same amount of work as all other months, but got paid less this month, cause your boss didn't make enuff money?  Now I'm sure there was contracts involved, and I'm sure Tray Deee being a eager artists wanting to make it big, just signed whatever, and like pretty much every westcoast rapper, got screwed in the contract.  So in retrospect, I'm sure that tray deee got what he deserved contract wise.  but most decent human beings would probably pay him better because he put in a lot of work and deserves a lil more pay for what he did.  That is why he is mad imo.

you dont make sense.

so tray deee should get more money, because he thinks he deserves. regardless of whether the albums actually brought in enough to cover his, snoops and goldies shares, plus expenses..

say you are an employee at a gas station.  You worked for 200 hours for the month.  yet after paying the bills for rent, electricity, advertising, cost of goods sold, etc, the business ended up not making any  profit for the month, but actualy had a loss.  so then the boss says to the employee "well, we never made any profit this month, so I am only going to pay you for 100 hours."  You can't do this, the boss has to pay the employee for the full amount of work that they did.

in this case, snoop dogg is the gas station owner, and tray deee is the employee.  total album sales for both albums combined is well over 1 million.  so lets just say that after paying all expenses the profit that they got was $1 per album sold (this is low, I am sure they made more than that)  so that is a million dollars profit.  split that 3 ways, that is $333,333 each.  tray deee claims he only got 100 gz.  and like I said, my figures are low.  If tray deee really only got paid 100 gz for both albums, how can you not say he got screwed?

I feel what you're saying Hector Dragoncox, but remember, The eastsidaz albums was released under TVT Records and they was probably, not that I know the contract details for the ES albums, but like other record labels, who have a sub-label(Doggystyle Records in this case) would take a lot of the income from the sub-label. It's natural. They're in charge of the distribution and has a lot of employees THEY got to feed too. Now, if Doggystyle had released the album all by themselves, 100 % independently, 100 Gz, wouldn't be nothing(if they did sell the same amount that is). Imagine, if they sold 1'200'000 copies of they albums they would probably sit with around 10-15 millions in profit and THEN it woulda been weird. But Steve Gottlieb over at TVT is not exactly known for offering his artists good deals on their behalf, he's, as everyone else, interested in making as much $$ as possible.

But of course Snoop got payed more, he was the headliner and responsible for the musical part of the project.
